2026: Simon Says Stamp In My Heart release

Hello again, sweet friends!
I'm sooooooooo excited about this NEW Simon Says Stamp release, In My Heart! You will see that I went a bit crazy for the flower dies and stencils💐

Here's what I created for this release- mostly Mother's Day cards!!

I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this card- it's for my mom! She loves yellow, and I knew I had to use the Friendly Blossoms stencils to create a beautiful yellow flower design for my mom's card. This turned out PERFECTLY!

This card uses the same stencil, as well as matching embossing dies. I wanted a simple ombre design for this card.
This card is for Trav's mom- it's got the softest embossed, cursive background called Best Mom Background stamp. I also used the Jaunty Stem flower dies to create the cascade of flowers. LOVE the blue hues!
This shaker card was supposed to have the flowers as the clear design... but then I realized the die set is fused together so I couldn't do a full, clear flower design! LOL I think this turned out great regardless!! I used the Opal Rainbow embellishments to fill the shaker and stamped the background with the previously released Dahlia background stamp. LOVE
And my FAVORITE card set--- love this design! I love the striped background that I created using an alcohol marker... to the Teardrop Pinpoint frames... to the colors... to the small thread! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by the SSS YouTube channel for an unveiling of ALL the NEW products, as well as LOADS of inspiration! And speaking of inspiration--- you can head to the SSS In My Heart gallery for even MORE inspiration!

THANKS so much for stopping by! MORE to come 💌

Be blessed ❤️

Alcohol Inks and the WRONG black ink

Hello again-- I'm back with ANOTHER alcohol ink creation!

I am in LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE with the Etc. Papers Synthetic EVO Papers. I love the smooth texture and how it holds the alcohol ink so beautifully. I need to purchase more papers because I'm running out! LOL!

I've had to learn a lesson (or two) as I've started to use alcohol inks more. Today's lesson has to do with the correct black ink. For this card, I created the background and sat on the design for at least three days! I just thought that beautiful plumb, pink, and teal (not the original color names) needed something special to make it pop.
Well... the idea hit me and I didn't think about what I was doing! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I started stamping a gorgeous flower from The Stamp Market on the inked EVO Paper using my favorite TSM Black ink. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This paper needs a solvent ink like ICT Stazon Jet Black. OH MAN! But it all worked out because I sprayed some Workable Fixatif to the papers and it helped the image "set". #lessonlearned
I really do love how this card turned out. I doubt I could recreate it... but I might try:)

THANKS so much for stopping by! I've got one more card to share using alcohol inks... but I'll be making more this week!!! I can't wait to share them with you!

Be blessed ❤️

Paper Smooches SPARKS October Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

I found inspiration in the flowers--- I originally wanted to make a frame with flowers around it... or a letter with flowers (exactly like the photo)... I also wanted to use woodgrain... but I came up with a SUPER SIMPLE card! And get this---- I used ONLY ONE stamp set!

I used the Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds stamp set. And I guess I should be honest... this is a very simple card, but this was my 8th try! LOL! I seriously was struggling with the design! Well... with the flowers! Flowers are not my favorite- to color, to stamp, to use! LOL! I do love how this card turned out though...so it's a WIN WIN (minus the other 7 cards)!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends October 18th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I actually can't wait to see what you are inspired by in this photo!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

If you know me.... you know I don't like flower images/etc. I just don't know what to do with them.... but I looooooove this RC Petals 'n Posies set! I love that it comes with matching dies too! It makes creating with flowers soooooo much easier! And that's why I used it on my cards today! LOVE LOVE LOVE

I created the following card for today for a friend who is having surgery soon. I wanted to use these leaves as a "wreath" for the sentiment. Well... not really a wreath, but something to make you focus on the sentiment.

I used some vellum to stamp and die cut the leaves from the RC Petals 'n Posies set. And then I added the sentiment by embossing it with gold powder (Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko). I finished the card off with some gold floss and some random Recollections charms. LOVE
But that wasn't enough for me.... I love this card but thought it was too plain. So I made another one but embossed the coral paper leaving a center oval plain (so I could stamp/etc on it). I think that these embossed dots made this card pop!
