2026: Playing with Scraps... and Twofer Cards

Hello, sweet friends!
I was playing around the other day with inking backgrounds. I went with a different color palette- greens, yellows, orange, red, and dark blue. I was thinking "masculine" ?!?! It wasn't my favorite color combo... but I kept going!

I also did different ink blends- linear and blotches. Again... I wasn't a fan but kept going!

After I die cut the sentiment (crooked)... I DEFINITELY didn't like what I was making 🤣 but... I kept going!

I ended up using a few Pink & Main birthday stamps/sentiments... and you know what???? I LOOOOOOOOVE these!

Are they perfect? Nope! Can you see my mistakes? Nope! And does the color combo work now??? Possibly! LOL!

And since I don't throw anything away, EVER--- I decided to make a few cards using the scraps from the sentiment die cut. These are very simple and the image is colored exactly like the other one. EASY! And a #twofer!!!
I can't decide if I like the inked background or the background scraps MORE! LOL Both sets of cards make me happy and will help me fill up my masculine birthday card stash:)

That's it for me today.

THANKS so much for stopping by! MORE to come 💌

Be blessed ❤️

2026: A Catch Father's Day Card [Card #163]

Hello, friends!
I'm back to share a fun pop-up card design using the NEWEST Pink & Main A Catch Pop-Up Card dies--- this is a great masculine card design that could be used for the outdoors man and ANY occasion!
I decided to go with a green background and water to make the fish colors pop. I really wanted to make a "stripper" type fish... but since I don't know much about fish, this design works for me! LOL!

This is Trav's Step-Dad's Father's Day card this year. My Dad??? Well... I have an idea for his card but it will be late due to my illness🤦🏼‍♀️

That's it for me today.

THANKS so much for stopping by! MORE to come 💌

Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Anything Goes (wk1) challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!
That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

Today I created a CAS card for my dad--- for Father's Day.
I used some super old Echo Park papers so I could join in my Sav Challenges:) I also used the PS Daddy YoAlphadot, and Spiffy Scooters stamp sets. I didn't use any dies--- although I tried! LOL!
I really wanted to use the PS Apron die to create this chef apron... but I just couldn't get it to look right. I had probably 5 PS dies out and worked on a prototype for about an hour. After that time, I realized that I could just buy a Silhouette image and die cut it with my machine! LOL!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love
And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends June 13th. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: March Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Ok---so I think I went a bit off... I didn't follow the sketch as much as I had been doing. Maybe 65% this time! I moved the sentiment to the banner (which is ok because sentiments can be anywhere). I also made the banner a rectangle and used just a triangle on the bottom right edge. And I did some other things... you'll see:)

I used several papers and embellies that I had in my stash for this card- LOVE! I made the sentiment, from the PS Bosom Buddy set, black on black- LOVE! I die cut my brother's name and stamped a background for part of it using the PS Sassy Letters and Kissables 2 stamps/dies- LOVE! I finished the card using a transparency, ICT black embossing powder/VersaMark ink, and the Incognito and Spookalicious stamp sets ***Remember when I would use the pumpkin eyes for chevrons?!?! I remembered that this week and used it for a fun embellishment! LOVE x10000000!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: March Anything Goes (wk1) challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!
That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!
This is a CAS masculine birthday card... not saying who it's for:) ***I'm doing my BEST NOT to show Trav this card before his bday next week! I didn't even show him this card yet! Now that's super hard for me- I can't keep secrets! LOL!

I used some older papers {so this card fits in the Sav Challenges!!!} from Basic Grey along with some cork embellishments from Studio Calico. I stamped the male figure from the PS Off the Charts set and die cut the sentiment using the PS Sassy Letters. I like how the letters for the first two words are the same paper--- I die cut them thinking I would take them out and use a different paper behind, but I liked the way it looked:) To finish, I splattered some IMAGINE Crafts irRESISTible textured spray. LOVE

I used the Paper Smooches Christmas Words 2 and Snowflakes dies to create this CAS holiday card. The papers are from an OLD Doodlebug pad. The sequins is from Pretty Pink Posh. Super simple-- LOVE it!

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

I've created a super simple CAS card that can be included in the "Sav Challenges"- actually, all three of my challenges [CAS, masculine, using stash]!! LOVE it! I'm really doing awesome at my own challenges:)

I created this card after seeing THIS masculine card on Pinterest. I totally love when I get inspired and can recreate it (almost exactly) using my PS stamps! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I wanted a simple card for Poppie's birthday which is later this week. The papers are perfect and from my Project Life Becky Higgins Jade edition. I used my FAV ink {Imagine Crafts Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle} along with stamps from the PS Buckaroo, Birthday Sampler, and Incognito sets. EASY! LOVE

Happy birthday, Poppie!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps... Poppie stopped by yesterday and created his very own card for this challenge:) He needed a birthday card for his son-- which also fits into my "Sav Challenges" of masculine cards! LOVE it! Poppie used the PS Bosom Buddy, Happy BirthdayBirthday Sampler, and Incognito stamp sets, as well as the PS Cardbooking and Kudos Words dies! He's such a good crafter:)

Here's Poppie making the card...
Here's Poppie with the finished card--- ok... I helped a bit:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS: January Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Ok---so I think I'm on a roll for 2015--- well this is the first sketch so I'm doing good so far:) I'm following sketches! LOL! I think I followed this sketch 98%! That's WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAY more than EVER before! The only change I made is that I took away the scalloped edge.

I used the Becky Higgins Project Life Coral edition for the papers.  I thought they were very masculine and could be used for my Father-In-Law's bday card. Once I had the idea for this card, I pulled out the new PS Incognito stamp set and stamped the mustache in both Imagine Crafts Rich Cocoa and Espresso Truffle  inks. I thought it would give the mustache good texture- LOL! To finish the card, I added a die cut sentiment into a speech bubble die cut (using the PS Birthday Words and Speech Bubbles dies). EASY! Happy birthday, Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!
