ETC Papers: Synthetic EVO Paper 🌈

Hello, sweet friends! Welcome back!

I am so happy to be back in the studio! I have soooooooooo much to share, but I won't overwhelm you with it all at once 🙃 My goal (you might have read about several goals in my last post) is to post two or three times a week. I have a few ideas of what I want to post about so be on the lookout for more crafty goodness coming soon!

Today I am thrilled to share that I was asked to create some projects using the Etc. Papers Synthetic EVO PapersSynthetic EVO Paper is beautiful- it's smooth, easy to cut, and when you use it with alcohol inks the results are STUNNING! *I'll add a photo of this beautiful white paper once I get home today!

SAVfact: I've never worked with alcohol inks until last week😬 I had no idea what I was doing. I went out and bought some pretty ink colors and started playing around with the Synthetic EVO Papers. I went for bold colors my first round- straight up solid, one color... with some gold and shimmer added:)
I knew immediately I wanted to create a rainbow using my practice sheets- Never throw anything away!!! LOL!
I pulled out The Stamp Market 3x3 rainbow cover die and started mixing and matching my die cut rainbows to create a beautiful arc. There was only one problem- I only had 6 bold, solid alcohol inks samples created... I needed a 7th! That's when I got the idea to pull out some Etc. Papers Holographic papers to complete my arc 👍🏻
Supplies listed below

I had so much fun playing with my alcohol inks making bold colors that quickly after making these cards I felt that I was "experienced" enough to start mixing more colors/etc. 🙃 I have three or four more cards to share later this month that will show a mixture of colors and even just a mix of color hues. I'm in love love looooooooooove with all of these samples! Here's a sneak peek.

THANKS so much for stopping by! I can't wait to share more of my creations with you each week. #itsgoodtobeback

Be blessed ❤️

Supplies
Inks: Ranger alcohol inks (I bought around 20... not sure which ones- especially since I was just playing around at first!)

Chickaniddy Crafts: Mix & Match (VIDEO) post2

Hello, friends:)

***Please click HERE for my Reverse Confetti May color challenge video and post:)
 photo picasioncom_8146e2e38e727ecc241fe5a27ac0c266.gif

I've created a special video for you today:)

I'm sharing how I mix and match patterned papers and embellishments from the Chickaniddy Twirly Girly and Date Night collections!
Here's the video (****be sure to change your settings to HD before watching):
I love this card! One of my favorite things to do is mix and match collections! If you would like to try this technique, here are some tips:
  •  Get out all of your papers and embellishments from the collections, or look in a catalog or find these pieces online. This will help you get a feel for what you can use on your card, and it could help you find more products that you want to order:)
  • When mixing and matching patterned papers, use only ONE patterned paper as the focus/main design. This main patterned paper should have a busy design or larger image. It should be bold.
  • All of the other pieces of paper will be supporting this main patterned paper. Supporting patterned papers should be softer/muted colors, smaller designs (polka dots, stripes, solid colors).
I really think this  card is perfect for anyone! My favorite pieces of this card include the alpha stickers... and the way the two sentiment stickers match the coordinating papers/embellishments on the top/bottom (perfect placement!!).... and I love that sentiment with the Dance School patterned paper! I love everything about this card:)
Chickaniddy Supplies: Paper Dance School (DN140S02), Plaid Is Rad (DN140S12), Tea Party (TW140S03), Piggy Tails (TG140S12); Stickers Date Night (DN14EB05, DN14EB02, TG14EB05), Alpha Stickers (DN14EB01, TG14EB01), Enamel Hearts (TG14EB07); Brads Date Night (DN14EB06)

I hope that you try mixing and matching your Chickaniddy papers/embellishments for your next project!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:)

Virtual Smooches: Start to Finish (with Olsen)

Hello, friends:}

Today's my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches

OH MY! Before I start my post today, I would like to give a
HUGE HUGE HUGE shout out to NICK CROMWELL from AppleCare for helping me last night! The editing for this video took almost 7 hours because of a problem with a "still pic"! He was patient and super sweet! So THANK YOUNICK

My video today was supposed to be easy! I shared how I created a card from start to finish. There are a couple of great parts to this video:

  1. Olsen- he's the one who needed the card
  2. My commentary- I tried a voiceover since I was speeding up the video.
  3. The pictures of Olsen- you have to wait until the end to see these! LOL!

Be sure to check out the  Virtual Smooches blog {HERE} for my videos and details!
