2026: Simple Stripes with TapeRunner Adhesive

Hello again, sweet friends!
Today I am sharing a quick way to add colorful stripes to a negative image or panel.

This card was created for my sweet friend and Finn's best friend's mom- she lost Tiberius a few weeks ago. The colorful stripes remind me of Tiberius' winter coat- he had a winter jacket that was dark blue with a hint of orange and white. He was sooooooooooooo cute!
Here's a photo of Finn and Tiberius (without his coat) walking together. I love that Tiberius was so small and friends with Finn!

Making this striped background is super EASY! The key to keeping the strips of cardstock in place is using a great adhesive like TapeRunner! I use this for ALL of my striped cardstock backgrounds!

Here are some quick steps to make your own striped background:
Gather your supplies- I'm using TapeRunner adhesive with Pink & Main Pet Angels stamps and Paw Print dies, as well as a retired die set from Paper Smooches to create the vellum dog image.

You can see I already have my colored cardstock cut into strips and used washi tape to hold the strips together in the order I would like them on my cardbase.
Next I drew a rough image of where the negative image panel would be placed on my cardbase. Then I added some TapeRunner adhesive to this exact location. After applying adhesive to the rough location of this image, I added one more layer of adhesive about an inch around this spot- just so I knew that I had enough adhesive for the image and strips of cardstock. **It's never bad to use too much adhesive :)
I also added adhesive to the negative image panel back- this will help the strips and cardbase stick together.
To finish the card, I just sandwiched the cardbase with the strips of cardstock to the negative image panel. EASY!

I love how easy it is to use the TapeRunner adhesive! I also love how strong this adhesive is- I think I might have to use this striped background for MORE negative image paneled cards :)

2026: Another Pet Sympathy Card

Hello again, sweet friends!
I've had to make an unusual amount of sympathy cards this year and specifically pet sympathy cards 😒

I mixed and matched so many products for this card because I wanted to make the prettiest rainbow bridge I could. I looooooooooooove that vellum die cut pup. It's the sweetest touch to this card.
That's it for me today. I had to make another pet sypmathy card and will share that tomorrow! And I just found out my brother's 14 year old dog passed this week. So be on the lookout for all of these cards πŸ‘€

2026: Watercolor + TapeRunner + MORE Sympathy Cards

Hello again, sweet friends!
I'm back to share MORE creations... unfortunately, I needed to make MORE sympathy cards (again).

I wanted to try something new for these designs. I was inspired by a craft that my Mom, older brother, and his family helped me create during their spring break (MORE on that soonπŸ‘€)- watercoloring!

I watercolored some background pieces and used them behind some die cut cover pieces. What really surprised me is that the TapeRunner adhesive was strong enough to hold the watercolor paper to the cardbase. If you have worked with watercolors before, then you know it warps the paper/etc. But all of the TapeRunner adhesive did it's job and held strong!!!!

I used the TR pink adhesive on the first card, and the TR retractable adhesive on the second set. I used adhesive on the cardbase, watercolor panel, and die cut cover panel! I'm really loving that retractable adhesive- it's so easy to use! Just click and adhere!

I loooooooooooove how these turned out. I pray that they bring comfort and peace to our friends during this difficult time ❤️

That's it for me today.

2026: MORE Sympathy Cards

Hello again, sweet friends!

I'm back with MORE sympathy cards- I had the watercolor papers on my desk... and I thought I might as well use the scraps to make even MORE sympathy cards. I have been using a lot of these cards lately☹️
I made a few more that had very similar backgrounds and colors. I just love this color combo! LOVE LOVE LOVE
I just love the soft watercolor background with the vellum and colored cardstock foilage- this is probably the MOST color I've used on a sympathy card. I might have to start using MORE color:)

That's it for me today.

2026: TapeRunner + YourPaperInsider Box 14 Purple Sympathy Cards [card #079-082]

Hello again, sweet friends!
I've been MIA because I spent a week with my family here in SC while they were on Spring Break- it was so much fun! I can't wait for them to come back and visit again! **You will see a few photos of my family while they were here SOON- they helped me finish a project:)

I was able to get into the studio again today, but unfortunately, I needed to make three sympathy cards😭 I do not like making these cards- it breaks my heart! But I'm hoping that these cards bring comfort and peace as they remember their loved one ❤️

I used some of the purple cardstock from the YourPaperInsider Box 14 papers- they added just the right amount of purple with this watercolor patterned paper design! I love that velum- it's so soft and yet deep with the purple hue! *See supply list below for specific papers used!

I also used my FAVORITE TapeRunner adhesive- I loooooooooooooove my TR adhesive! It's so smooth, easy to apply, and can be used on almost any piece of your card [see THIS post on how I add adhesive from a TapeRunner to a SMALL die cut letter].
These cards look simple but have layers and dimension because of the YPI papers and using the TR adhesive for all layers!

That's it for me today. Unfortunately, I think I need to make MORE sympathy cards so I can stock up my stash... be on the lookout for MORE designs soon πŸ‘€

2026: MORE Sympathy cards

Hello again, sweet friends!

Unfortunately I had to make MORE sympathy cards… it was a sad ending to 2025! I have already posted these on IG, so this will be a quick post of photos! All details can be found HERE on my IG page:)
These two green leaves cards were scraps... I was going to throw them away because the white cardstock ripped. But Trav told me to make them work! So I did;) I added a different color for the leaf, added a different sentiment, and gems! LOL I'm glad I didn't throw those away!
That's it for me today.

2025: MORE Sympathy Cards (again) [card #308-309]

Hello again, sweet friends!
Pink & Main came out with the sweetest pet sympathy stamps/dies called Pet Angels. I do not have any pet sympathy card needs at the moment... but it's always good to have a few on hand just in case!
I also paired each card/color design with the NEW P&M Rainbow Embossing Powders

That's it for me today.

2025: Another Sympathy Card [card #317]

Hello again, sweet friends!
This sympathy card was for a friend- we had been praying for his little cousin to receive healing from cancer. Unfortunately, she passed right before Thanksgiving. Good news is that she knew Christ and is healed and whole now- praise the Lord πŸ™ŒπŸ»

This friend wears black every Sunday (and mostly throughout the week)- so the design was simple with a black leaf and gems! I love having a texture element on my cards and the cork paper (it's real cork) worked perfectly in this design.

That's it for me today.

2025: MORE Sympathy Cards [card #320-324]

Hello again, sweet friends!
I received MORE news of friends, neighbors, and AFWS clients that had passed recently. I usually don't make the same design for my cards, but I just didn't have it in me as sympathy cards are the hardest for me to make!

So I changed the cardstock color and gems for these three cards.

I think these sympathy cards are STUNNING! I pray that the Lord would comfort them during this difficult time, and that my cards will help them look to Christ for strength as they grieve❤️ πŸ™πŸ»

That's it for me today.

2025: Deepest Sympathy

Hello again, sweet friends!
We have several friends and family that are experiencing loss at this time- it's so sad! And to top it off... I do not like making sympathy cards. They are the hardest for me to make!

I have to constantly find inspiration for my sympathy card designs, and this one was no exception. I found a card with three embossed panels that were inked and a simple sentiment. It was perfect... but my card was a bit smaller so I only used two panels;)

I pray for my friends and family that the Lord would cover them with His love, surround them with His presence, and comfort them with His peace during this difficult time πŸ™πŸ»❤️

That's it for me today.

2025: With Sympathy [card #300 +301]

Hello again, sweet friends!

We've had so many friends and family who have experienced loss in the last month that I've had to create almost 10 sympathy cards😞
This first card was created for a friend who lost her dad. I love how this card turned out because the ink blended background was created when I worked for Imagine Crafts Tsukeniko almost 10 years ago! I saved that little design for *just* the right card!
This next card was my 300th card for 2025 (I just finished 328!). This pet sympathy card was for my sweet aqua fitness student and his family. He lost the sweetest pup a month ago. Broke my heart since we moved away and haven't seen any of the family for a year. I knew I had to send him a special card <3

I'm a bit behind in posting ... I'm going to try and catch up this week:) I also have loads to create... so be on the lookoutπŸ‘€

That's it for me today.
