2026: A Custom Card for Trav's Co-Worker [Card #213]

Hello, everyone! 

Trav came home the other day and said that one of his techs was leaving this week to move onto dental school. I knew immediately that she needed a custom card! 

You can't see it... but there is some SHINE on this card! I used all Paper Smooches stamps/dies with my Pink & Main Mini Minc machine, Cheerfoil, and Twinkle inks (which is where all the SHINE comes from!)!!! 

I love how this turned out. Trav was pretty impressed as well! And I think his tech liked it too! WIN WIN WIN!

2026: Welcome Baby Rabbit [Card #202]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

Trav went to the dentist the other day (I go in a week). When he came home, he was telling me that his hygienist was pregnant and having a girl. This lead me down lots of different questions: 

• Boy or girl: girl
• Are they decorating the nursery? Light green so they can use it for all their children in the future; they will also be using the Velveteen Rabbit as a theme. 

Well... I couldn't help myself and told him I would make a card and bunny teether to give her when I visit! 

So I got to work pulling out all my rabbit stamps/dies and baby sentiments for a custom baby card. I mixed and matched between Pink & Main, the Colorado Craft Co., and The Stamp Market! I think it turned out super cute!

I also worked in the sewing room- GASP! I know! I had the perfect fabric for her teether- it's a cream and brown bunny design. It reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit or Peter Rabbit, which I thought would work perfectly! Only problem... you can't see the design when it's put together 🤦🏼‍♀️ LOL!  ABC

2026: 25 Years with Walgreens [Card #129]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

Today we celebrate Trav's 25th anniversary with Walgreens🎉🎉🎉  

I will be honest that I didn't celebrate his anniversary until 2016 because I didn't even know when he started or how many years he worked at Walgreens until I saw that his co-worker, Mr. Carbon, had put on the sign out front "Congratulations Travis- 15 years!" I'm thankful for Mr. Carbon and his care to celebrate Trav...and now I know to celebrate too:) 

This is a simple design created using my Sihouette, Pink & Main red glitter and a foilable sentiment from P&M's NEW Many Sentiment strips foilables cut ups. EASY and perfect to celebrate such a BIG achievement!

2026: Love You SO Much

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I met Trav 21 years ago today, May 22. 

 

I created a custom card by adding custom colored vellum hearts to the cardbase and adding a die cut sentiment. **When I gave this card to Trav this morning, he asked if the background had 21 hearts--- wouldn't that have been clever! LOL! 

 

I thank God for this day often- God orchestrated our meeting... God brought Trav into my life at just the right time... God planted love in both of our hearts (even though I felt it immediately and Trav wasn't so sure)... I cannot thank God enough for Trav ❤️ I am forever grateful for this day and to God for blessing me with MORE than I deserve, MORE than I could ask for, MORE than I could dream of--- Praise the Lord for this blessing and love 🙌🏻

2026: A Special Pet Sympathy Card for my Brother's family- Piper [Card #110]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I needed yet another pet sympathy card this past month- this time it was for my older brother's family as they lost their 14 year old pup, Piper. 

I struggled with this card design (like I always do with sympathy themed cards)... but it was because I wanted to create something that would look like and be like Piper.

I used some Pink & Main stamps/dies, as well as a stencil from The Stamp Market. 

 

I will admit that I messed up the sentiment and had to rethink what to do to cover the mistake up-- I love the way the sentiment is now!   

 

Piper will be  missed 🐾 ❤️

2026: Home = Where WE Are Together

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I'm back with another HOUSE card... this time Trav and I are celebrating 2 years of LIVING in our SC brick home! *We bought the house a week prior to moving all our stuff up from FL. 

I loooooooooooove this color combo! I love the design (I actually get to mark another box off from my Craft Bingo card because this card was inspired by Pinterest!)! I loooooooooooove the custom sentiment- I just wish when I foiled it that my ink was darker and bolder (I need to replace the ink!).

2026: HOA Thank You card

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I was able to mix and match and play in my craft studio the other day! It's so fun to just create:) 

Well... I did have one assignment that was due that I *had* to work on--- I needed a Thank You card for our HOA annual meeting. I was the Vice President for 2025-2026 and am leaving the board, along with the president and secretary. I wanted to give each a card and only needed to make a masculine card as I have TONS of fun TU cards that would work for the secretary! 

I think this masculine paper and design was perfect for our president! I also love that black/white die cut house image--- that's some of my FAVORITE paper:)

2026: Custom Birthday Card [card #76]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I was recently asked to make a custom birthday card for my neighbor's son. She gave a few things that might inspire me: a sport's team/colors, blue crabs, boating, green/blue, and fishing. 

 

After discussing with her my ideas and what I could do using my supplies... we landed on a fishing theme. She then sent me a photo of her son fishing (one where he had just caught a catfish), and I knew we chose the right theme!

The best part about this card is that my mom helped me create it! This card was due while she was visiting so I pulled her into my studio to help get inky, die cut, and kind of be my sous chef/crafter! Hopefully she had fun making this with me;)

This next card was created for a friend's birthday. Her dog is called Buddy, and he looks *just* like this! TOOOOOOOOOO cute! This is a mix and match type of card- I love when I can make custom cards by just pulling from everything I own!

Check out this super cute birthday card!!!

If you know me, then you know that I use that birthday background stamp A LOT! I also have a bin specifically for birthday designs- it is FILLED with Pink & Main stamps/dies/stencils!

I love how this card turned out! 

I did take a separate photo with a different photo background- Trav created this wood floor background for my masculine cards. I am not sure how to take photos with it yet as it makes the photos a bit too "bright". LOL! I will work on that:)

2025: Another Sympathy Card [card #317]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

This sympathy card was for a friend- we had been praying for his little cousin to receive healing from cancer. Unfortunately, she passed right before Thanksgiving. Good news is that she knew Christ and is healed and whole now- praise the Lord 🙌🏻

This friend wears black every Sunday (and mostly throughout the week)- so the design was simple with a black leaf and gems! I love having a texture element on my cards and the cork paper (it's real cork) worked perfectly in this design.

2025: MORE Sympathy Cards [card #320-324]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I received MORE news of friends, neighbors, and AFWS clients that had passed recently. I usually don't make the same design for my cards, but I just didn't have it in me as sympathy cards are the hardest for me to make! 

So I changed the cardstock color and gems for these three cards. 

I think these sympathy cards are STUNNING! I pray that the Lord would comfort them during this difficult time, and that my cards will help them look to Christ for strength as they grieve❤️ 🙏🏻

2025: Deepest Sympathy

Hello again, sweet friends! 

We have several friends and family that are experiencing loss at this time- it's so sad! And to top it off... I do not like making sympathy cards. They are the hardest for me to make! 

I have to constantly find inspiration for my sympathy card designs, and this one was no exception. I found a card with three embossed panels that were inked and a simple sentiment. It was perfect... but my card was a bit smaller so I only used two panels;) 

I pray for my friends and family that the Lord would cover them with His love, surround them with His presence, and comfort them with His peace during this difficult time 🙏🏻❤️

2025: THANK YOU so much [card #315]

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving, sweet friends! 

Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday- that's one of the reasons why Trav and I got married in November😍 

I love the food. 

I love being with family. 

I love having seconds of the food (I said I loved the food! LOL!).

I remember looking through the newspaper for the Black Friday ads and planning my shopping spree for the next day- oh how fun the good ol' days were!  

Thanksgiving is also my FAVORITE holiday because I have so much to be thankful for--- my life, my husband, my marriage, my dog, my church, my friends... I have loads to be thankful for. 

Another thing I'm thankful for is YOU! This card is for YOU!

And while I'm thankful for YOU.... I still struggle😞 

Recently I've been pretty down. I have struggled to find the joy in creating because it's no longer about just creating... it's about social media. 

For the past seven years [possibly more] I've struggled with my blog and social media. I hate how it's changed over the years. It used to be fun writing blog posts, adding all the details and sharing your heart for creating or sharing more about your life. Social media was a way to connect with other crafters and friends. It was real (or at least that was how I shared my stuff). 

Now... everything is based on likes, comments, or shares that you have. It's all about an algorithm. 

I started a hashtag #washeduphasbeencrafter and #washeduphasbeen because I'm washed up; I'm a has been. I'm no longer seen because I don't fit the algorithm. 

I struggle to get my creations seen. I struggle to create "trending" reels or posts. I struggle to keep my views up and this jeopardizes the design teams that I am currently on. How can I possibly keep a job on a team if I get ONE "like" per creation? How could a company want me on a team if no one sees my project or buys from the link I share (which I also hate- I hate those affiliate links! I don't think companies should have to pay us for how many clicks we get on a link... maybe it's because I don't get any clicks... but either way- I've never liked these affiliate programs!)? 

Social media and all the demands of "likes"/etc. have caused me to question and not be thankful. It's easier to see the negative than the blessings. I see a small number of "likes" or comments... but it is a blessing that even ONE person would want to leave a comment or share my projects! 

I see the threat of being fired from my teams... but it's been a true blessing to be considered a part of a team and work with companies for over 10 years. 

I see how low I get when I compare myself on social media... but I need to remind myself that I create for the joy of it... for the smile that is found on recipients' faces when they open an envelope to find a handmade card... for the gift of giving cards... I need to remind myself that I am a child of God- loved, creative, gifted, blessed. 

I'm thankful for YOU because you continue to show up despite my blogging breaks... despite my "likes" or trending posts... YOU continue to love, encourage, and support me despite social media algorithms. 

(sigh)

Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday--- I'm thankful, truly I am. I'm just struggling a bit this year (and for several years). THANKS for everything!

2022: a custom Valentine's Day card from some pets [card #44]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I've been in the studio busy crafting-- it is SO nice to be back in the groove! I have really enjoyed making these Marriage Week cards for Travis. After posting two of my cards on social media, a neighbor asked me to make her husband a card from their pets for Valentine's Day! I love making custom cards! 

The requirements were: Valentine's Day card, whimsical, pet themed, and pets names must be somewhere. I think I nailed it! 

I knew I had a pet themed paper pad by 7SevenPaper, which I used but not like I thought I would. Instead of their pet graphic paper I used these wooden cat and dog pieces. I found them at Hobby Lobby in the yarn section- they are supposed to hold your yarn/twine/floss/etc. I think they are perfect for this card... well... the cat looks good but the dog doesn't look like Ridley at all! LOL!
