Paper Smooches SPARKS September Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:
**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Two months ago I challenged myself to stick to the sketch 100%- no changes what-so-ever {check out that post HERE}. I'm still not doing so well with that challenge! LOL! I thought I was onto something with my design this month.... and then I realized that I didn't add the larger square panel (or I guess you could say it's the sentiment die cut?!?! Maybe not! LOL!)!

Even though I changed some things, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this card. I love the papers [Fancy Pants Designs True Friend] and I loooooooooooove all the PS dies I used- PS Heartfelt Thanks, Coffee & Tea, Hearts, and the Stitched Flourishes 2 (which Trav loves the most on this card! He says it really looks like steam! LOL!). I also used a sentiment from the PS Cyber Cafe stamp set. I LOVE everything about this card! It's simple but the designs and layers really make it DETAILED:) LOVE LOVE LOVE
*ETA: I'm actually joining in the fun with the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I do not like coffee (I know that's weird) but I love coffee mugs;) So I thought I would enter the hop:)

Ok---that's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends October 3rd. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS: August Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!
That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

I made this card last Sunday at 2am! I was up and just wanted to craft. WOW! I have missed my studio and crafting time! I had so much fun putting this card together for our friends (they just bought a house!!!)!
I did some masking to create this sentiment using the PS Denim & Daisies, Christmas Sampler, and the Spreading Sunshine stamp sets. LOVE when you can mix and match stamps to create a custom sentiment!

And that frog is from the PS Royal Cuteness set... QUESTION: does that frog look familiar? I actually created it for THIS video and THIS post! I have had it sitting on my desk for OVER a year! LOL! LOVE it!
I also used the PS Dainty Flowers and Royal Icons dies. Papers are from an OLD Simple Stories pad (Summer Fresh from 2012!) and the alphas are from an OLD Fancy Pants Design set (Childish)--- which makes this card perfect for my Sav Challenges! LOVE
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends August 22nd. Hope you join in the fun--- this is the EASIEST challenge ever!!!!!!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

For my first card, I created a super cute Thank You note using the submarine and sentiment from the Here We Go set. I used the coordinating Confetti Cuts for this set but also paper pieced the submarine to make it pop even more:)
I used some Fancy Pants Designs Trendsetter papers along with the Imagine Crafts silver embossing power. I added a couple of stars die cut (using the RC Oh My Stars) using coordinating paper and Chickaniddy Crafts Silver Surfer paper. LOOOOOVE how this turned out!
For my second card, I created a very CAS card! I also used a watercoloring technique with my Tsukineko Radiant Neon Electric Coral/Yellow/Pink inks! I thought these colors would make this popsicle from the RC Let's Chill set pop! LOOOOOOVEI finished this card off by embossing the sentiment in IC gold embossing power. LOOOOOOVE! So simple-- which is not my style! But it is so cute! LOVE

We have tons of inspiration for you to see using RC's brand new stamp sets and CONFETTI CUT die cuts!!!

I created a very CAS card today-- I layered several of my favorite Fancy Pants Collecting Moments papers on a card base and then stamped my sentiment and crane from the RC Paper Crane stamp set on the center panel. I added another sentiment vertically trying the "second stamping" technique. I added some gold twine... and that was it! LOOOOOOVE it! I think this will be a graduation card for a friend (she graduated in Dec... so I'm a bit late! LOL!)!

Paper Smooches Sparks Nov. Trend Watch challenge

Hello, friends:}

****Be sure to check out the Paper Smooches SPARKS design team call! I cannot tell you how much I LOOOOOOOVE being on this team-- and I would LOVE for you to join in the fun! Click HERE for more details!

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!!

The first week of the month is always a TRENDS WATCH challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following photo:

I had so many ideas for this challenge-- stripes can go so many directions on your paper that I couldn't decide what paper or design I wanted to use! LOL! I also knew I wanted to use that striped wash tape on my card-- soooooooo many stripes to use!

I ended up making this sympathy card for a VERY SPECIAL friend. She has been hit with two sudden deaths in her family (both within a week or two of each other). I used some pretty Fancy Pants Designs Collecting Moments papers along with the PS Spiritual Sampler set for the sentiment, which was stamped on a PS Word Bubble die cut piece. ****NOTE: It took me 6 tries to get that sentiment right-- I tried to use striped/textured paper... DID NOT WORK! LOL! I also die cut some hearts from gold metallic paper using the Paper Smooches Wedding Shower dies (I LOOOOOOOVE this heart!). I finished this card off with a messy yet beautiful clump of May Arts Ribbon white twine and a mini clothes pin. LOVE! I hope this card brightens her day, and that God would comfort and bring peace to her and her family.
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love
And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends November 10th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps-- did you see the new stamp sets??? I literally just got my package of new sets and dies the other day-- LOVE x100000!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
