Paper Smooches: August RECAP

Hello friends:) 

Today I'm sharing all of my Paper Smooches August release projects that I made! 

I'm not sure if you've been checking out the PS DT projects on the PS blog... but you should definitely start going there daily for inspiration! LOVE LOVE LOVE this DT!!! Click HERE for the PS blog. 

Here's what I created using the new stamps and dies, including the PS Noteworthy, Pens dies, Just A Note Icons dies, and Scroll die. 

I absolutely looooooooooove this card! I tried to make it look like a desk- oh my! SO CUTE! 

OOPs---- the "female" pen is taller than the "male" pen! LOL! 

Trav actually helped me make this card- he loved thinking of how to make a paint roll brush using the Scroll die! 

I had a great time this month making these cards! I cannot wait to share what I crafted up for September's release!!! Only a couple more days until our Sept. blog hop ❤️

Paper Smooches- August FRIENDSHIP challenge #5

Trav has been such a huge help lately with my creations for these challenges- he has inspired me with design ideas and even helped me physically create the cards! 

This week he saw my new washi tape (QUESTION: don't you just looooooooove those washi tape people?!!?!?! I DO!!) that I bought and said I needed to make a card with a million of those washi tape people with the sentiment "one in a million". 

I did the best I could with a space no bigger than 4.25 inches by 4 inches! LOL 😂   

This is a simple card with simple supplies-----> I used: PS Heart dies, Word Salad, and the NEW PS Arrows dies (available August 30th).

Today I'm sharing a project using the NEW Heart Frame die. This die is larger, and once I saw it, I knew I had to make a scrapbook layout with it as my center piece! 

I absolutely looooooooove those hearts at the bottom! I love that mustard yellow with stripes... and the newspaper one... and even that cross soft teal heart! They are the perfect embellishment for this page! I even used the leftover heart outline from the teal heart at the top of the page- it was exactly what that corner needed! It finished this page and look perfectly.

Text: We tried to use Extreme Sharpie Marker on our lock- but it didn't work! It was worn off before we got to France. Our love will definitely outlast this lock and written date! 

I also used the following PS stamps/dies: Feathered Friends (Sept. release), Holiday Cheer, Digits, Lovely Thoughts, Notebook Paper, Ampersands, and Pinked Circles. I probably could have used more PS goodies... but I had to stop:) LOL!

Paper Smooches- August FRIENDSHIP challenge #4

I've created another friendship card for the Paper Smooches monthly challenge! Apparently this is my fourth card... I thought it was my third! LOL!  Picture: Credit

This week I was inspired by a photo of a mug and two leaves coming out of it. I thought that would make a nice "friendship" card... and then I started playing with the leaves...it wasn't working...but then I made them look like a succulent plant! This was a happy accident- LOVE! 

I also had some help with the sentiment from Trav 😜  Here's the list of sentiments I picked- all from PS stamp sets (mix and match and some used regularly):

Trav thought #2 and #4 went well together...and I agreed that this could def. be a card I could give a "buddy" (possibly masculine)... so it works:) LOL! To make the sentiment I used: PS Retail Therapy and Simply Said. I also used the PS Coffee & Tea dies, Seasonal dies (for the leaves/plant), and Speech Bubbles dies.

Paper Smooches- August FRIENDSHIP challenge #2

I've created another friendship card for the Paper Smooches monthly challenge!  Picture: Credit

This card was supposed to be a bit more simple... but staying true to myself---> I added stitching, glitter, glossy accents, and washi tape. I couldn't help myself! 

I really just wanted a piece of paper with the sentiment in the center and the owl on top. BORING!!!!!!!!!!!! I like it a lot better with all the details:) 

**To be really honest- this card didn't have all of these details at first. I really did photograph it plain and said it was done. But I kept looking at it.... and I knew I had to add something. So I added the glitter. Then a day later I added the glossy accents and finally I added the washi tape. It took at least 3 days for me to finish this card! LOL! 

I used the PS Hooties and Fun & Flirty stamp sets, along with the Friend Word and Owl Icons dies.

Today's cards are for some friends who have lost a loved one this past week. I say this every time I make a sympathy card----> I need to make more of these for my stash. I just do not like making sympathy cards 😩.

I used the PS Delightful Greetings and Flap Happy stamp sets, along with the Butterfly Duets and Foliage 1 dies. A simple card with a big message of love and comfort.

Paper Smooches challenge- August 2016

Hello, friends:}

Today we start a NEW Paper Smooches monthly challenge. The challenge for August is...... FRIENDSHIP!

Isn't that squirrel the cutest!? And I love what I put at the bottom... friendships are forever but this challenge ends! LOL! 

I picked this theme for August because on the 7th it's International Friendship day! Who knew! LOL! I figured it's always good to have some friendship cards on hand/in the stash.

I masked this little cactus from the PS Southwestern Charm set and made him bigger- so fun! And then I added some neon candles {Hullabaloo}. Place this design on a watercolor background and stamp your sentiment... DONE! Friendship mastered:)
