2024: Love You Leopard + Technique Idea [card #1]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I'm back with ANOTHER Pink & Main project! This time instead of coloring I share a quick technique idea to help elevate your die cut sentiments (or any die really). 

I created this very CAS card (definitely NOT my style... so it's no wonder I wanted to "elevate" it! LOL!). I created it in a few steps-- stencil the background, add a heart die cut with gold accents, and add die cut sentiment. Done! 

But was it really done? Not for me. I wanted to add something extra behind the sentiment but this die cut set didn't come with an outline die to match. NO WORRIES! Here's how I created that outline image for the sentiment die cut: 

• Flip the die so the word is "readable"
• Trace around that die onto paper or vellum
• cut it out, erase traced lines, and attach your die cut sentiment

See? It's that easy!! Adding outline images to die cut sentiments when none are available can be done with literally ALL of your dies!!!

I'm continuing my new series, Savannah Learns to Color!!!! This is only my second image that I've colored--- and I know it's rudimentary! I'm trying and learning! 

It took me three tries to get the right coloring for this little owl. I had lots of ideas for him- like maybe a blue owl, or pink... but I went with this yellow-orange look. I think for my SECOND project that it turned out really good:) Not bad for a newbie!

2024: Catching Up (part 2)

Hello again, sweet friends! 

MORE catching up to do today! Check out these projects that I created recently. 

This card was for a friend who married in September last year. I used his wedding invite as the base and then matched the papers. You can't see it but her dress is sparkly! LOVE!

This was my 17th anniversary card for Trav. Unfortunately we left on a fun getaway and I forgot to put it in my bag so he hasn't received it yet! It's been two months! I better put this under his pillow tonight:) 

I hate to say this but the thank you card below was NOT easy to make! But worth it:) I like how it turned out:) 

I made all 5 of these cards in one day! I tried so many new techniques and color combos-- it was fun! 

A CAS "little" Hello card using scraps.

2024: Catching up (part 1)

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I'm trying to catch up as fast as possible! I created 266 cards last year, 302 the year before, and 343 the year before that! I haven't even shown you a quarter of these projects!!! LOL! 

So get ready for some quick weekly posts where I share creations I've made the past few years. I probably won't have much to say about each but will do my best to share when I can <3 

This first card was given to a fellow aqua fitness instructor who retired last year. Sad thing is that she passed 8-10 months after she retired. I really liked this card that I made so many others with that background! You might see them as I continue to post;) 

I love a twofer card- I used the scraps from this first card as the base for the next card design. LOVE! 

These two cards were created using the Your Paper Insider paper box of beautiful cardstock!

I created the next card for a friend whose 23 year old cat passed away. 

I used alcohol inks and some Erin Lee Creative dies for this sympathy card. I really think it turned out great (other than my "sympathy" word is crooked! LOL!).

This is my Mom's Mother's Day card for 2023. There are three butterflies on the front representing all three of her kids. The ribbon is white but in the photo it turned out cream. EH! It looked so pretty in person!!

Here is a graduation card I made for a friend. Simple design but fun.

2024 has started out super fun because I've been asked to join the Pink & Main Design Team for this year's first term! I'm so excited!

2023: Paper Smooches NEW Release Joy Snowman [card #170]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

This is my LAST Paper Smooches new release creation.... for now:) I just love this little snowman! 

I extended my stamps by masking his body to make it longer so I could fit the sentiment. I also layered lots of stamps and added inking, gems, and splatter. This card has sooooooo much going on- I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

2023: Released from the hand surgeon and a thank you card [card #198]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

UPDATE: it’s been 304 days since I broke my wrist and 284 days since surgery. And a little over a year (390 days) since my first injury on this same hand, which was a crushed hand.

Drumroll please 🥁 It’s official- I’ve hit the LAST marker and have been released from my surgeon’s care🙌🏻🎉🙌🏻🎉

I was hoping for a really fun X-ray like my crushed hand (I was giving an A-Okay sign)… but this one is actually PERFECT because I made my surgeon a thank you card with my hand holding a shaker heart with my scar. That matches the X-ray flipped!!! 

This retired hand die from Paper Smooches is my ABSOLUTE favorite!!! 

Thank you for your prayers, love, and support❤️ This has been a hard road- I am not 100% but pretty close!! The doctor said I need to work on gaining strength back, which means I can start weight training again! I’m thankful to be this far in recovery🙌🏻

2023: MORE Paper Smooches NEW Release [cards #166-168]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I'm back with more Paper Smooches goodies- I just loooooooooooooove PS images!! These are some of my favorite cards! The detail and layers that I created using new-to-me techniques make these cards hard to give away-- but I will:) 

The first two cards came about after a mistake! I wanted to do a green themed Christmas card but it didn't look right... so I scrapped the idea and started over using some of the green candies on the blue background. Perfect! Then I had an idea to do green and pink and to add a different sentiment... PERFECT again:) I love how these turned out. 

The new-to-me technique is ink blending a background. I hate getting ink on my fingers and all over my workspace... but I think I'm liking it more than I thought! 

This next card is my FAVVVVVVVVVVORITE! I used my favorite technique of fussy cutting for these snowmen-- too cute:)

2023: Paper Smooches NEW Release [card #167,169,172,174,175,176]

Hello again, sweet friends! 

I'm popping on quick to post some of my creations using the NEW Paper Smooches vault release! You can check out each project on my IG page HERE. 

I tried to make a modern tree using the Happy Holly Days stamp/die set. 

This little walrus really has a great face for the cold weather, and it's EXACTLY how I feel when it gets cold too 🥶

This little birdie is too cute:) The patterned paper is from Queen & Co. Handmade Holiday and Playful Solids 6x6 papers.

This next card had something from EVERY. SINGLE. NEW. RELEASE SET!!! Trav really liked this one and helped me design it:) LOL!

From everything plus the kitchen sink to a very CAS card! LOL I like to make different styled cards to keep it interesting. 

I still have LOADS of Christmas cards to share... but this next one is for Valentine's Day or just for any day! 

That's it for me today. I do hope to get back on here with more of a regular post schedule... but does anyone read my blog anymore? I have made over 215 cards this year alone... would anyone be interested in seeing every single card? Reading about them? ❤️ Just trying to figure out what the best use of my time and this blog will be for 2024.
