FWF :}

Hello, friends and friends with FLAIR!

**NOTE:: Good things at the bottom of this post:}

This FWF is special because it is Unity's 2nd birthday! I have had a blast on the forum chit chatting it up with other peeps...and trying to win at the games....as well as participating in challenges! ThanksUnity, for such an awesome week!

My first card was inspired by the FWF22 card by Nina Brackett! Isn't she amazing! I used my new KOTM set. I paper pieced the humming bird--and the wings are done twice (once with cream/light yellow and again with transparency). I love this card--the base of the card was actually my base for the PDCC challenge in the post below...but it was too small...so instead of throwing it away, I decided to use it for this card. Good choice, I think:} This card also fits the "Unity is going to the birds" challenge and All Things Unity [things up in the sky--I know...humming birds are not UP in the sky...but they do FLY in the sky!]. LOOOOOOOVE this card!
My next card is a sweet card--I love how simple it is. It also fits the All Things Unity challenge. Rain is up in the sky...and this card uses my Unity Rain and Flowers stamp set that I got from Limelight. Love it! Simple!
This card was created for the Limelight challenge going on right now. It was my third sketch. I love this card--it is for a baby boy. I used Unity's Could I Be Any Cuter? set for that cute elephant, as well as Confessions for the criss-cross action going on down on the bottom and Our Stories set for the sentiment. LOOOOOVE this card!
Here are the other two Limelight challenge cards that used Unity--you can scroll down to see the whole post. I love both of these cards--esp. the Berry Adorable card!! ACk--LOOOOOVE it!

This card was created for the "Unity Love at first sight" challenge by Carol. She challenged us to use our first Unity stamps. The first two stamps I bought from Unity:: the Bingo stamp and the Augsut 2009 KOTM. The KOTM had that bicycle in it--I had to have it! So that is what I used on this card. I paired it with my Feb. KOTM bird and the sentiment is from the March KOTM. The tag is from Our Stories set. LOVE this card--super cute!
Last week was my week for Growing In Unity! Had a BLAST--soooo much fun. I was having so much fun crafting that I forgot to share with you how I store my Unity stamps. I had some issues with this at first--LONG story...and I still don't know how the foam got like that!!...but now I store all of my foam stamps in this storage unit. That door on the side opens up to reveal several of these plastic cases from Target [and I was silly enough to buy the ones from Japan--way more expensive! Just go to Target!!]. I love these cases--they hold two full KOTM sets or several small sets in each one. I only have a couple more to fill before I have to go get more! And I label them with my Casio lable maker--simple! Oraganized! And out of the way!!
Well...that is it for me today! Be sure to stop by HERE for the full FWF blog list! And be sure to leave some love--you might win some Unity stamps! And....if you leave some love here....you could WIN! I am having a giveaway today because it is my younger brother's bday--HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARREL! So go ahead and leave me some love...or wish Carrel (pronounced CARL) some love--I'll be putting together a package of papers and ribbons and some other goodies for our winner!! Good luck:} Giveaway ends April 30th at midnight!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we visit! Love Unity! Be blessed:}
Until next time~

MMMM--I instantly thought of babies...specifically a boy. **NOTE:: I am not pregnant--but I have been making lots of baby cards lately...hm....??? I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!
I used my Unity October 2009 KOTM airplane and banner stamps. I love how the light green has a design on it--that is also a Unity stamp (the bottom of a tag/journalling stamp from the Our Stories set). I stitched this scrap ribbon on and toped it off with twill. Super cute:}

Limelight challenge:} {post 1}

Hello, friends:}

I  am sad to say that this is my LAST Guest Design Team challenge with Limelight. I had a BLAST working with all the girls--and Mandy is SUPER AWESOME! Thanks so much for all your support and goodies! LOVE LOVE LOVE Limelight:}

This challenge is super fun and focuses on glitter or sparkle! I love the sketch too! I couldn't help but use my new Unity stamps that I got from Limelight! The butterfly is from Where You Are. The polka dot background is a wood Unity stamp and baby sentiment is from Unity's Our Stories set. My glitter is clear/iridescent--also available at Limelight. I used some scrap paper for my background, gems for the butterfly body, and ribbon...I love this card. Super cute for a little girl!
**NOTE:: I'm not sure what is wrong with my ribbon...it wouldn't turn correctly--eh! Guess I need to buy more ribbon from.... Limelight:)
My next card using this sketch is SUPER fun! I love Limelight because 1) their great deals and 2) they sell Unity stamps! This set is actually from my newest kit of the month. I used more glitter from Limelight--this glitter comes in a tube like the candy pixie stix. It is available at Limelight in many colors! I used black twill ribbon and more scrap papers. LOOOOOOVE this card!
I do have another card using this sketch, but I am saving it for tomorrow's post--it uses the Unity set Could I Be Any Cuter?--guess where I got it??? YEP! Limelight!! I just got my new Webster's Pages from Mandy--soooo pretty! I can't wait until my piggy bank is full again so I can order more from Limelight!! LOVE that store;)

Nina Brackett and SR#16 challenge

Hello, friends:}

I just couldn't help but make another card using Nina Brackett's Vintage Background stamps! They are available HERE!! I used the Stampin' Royalty sketch and Nina's challenge for my inspiration. I did move my embellishment up on the page and my bow on the side--but I love this card. Super fun colors and AWESOME stamps:) **NOTE:: I also used Nina's Lovely Shelf stamp set.

ETA::: I had to add one more card for the Stampin' Royalty challenge. I used Nina's background stamps again! LOVE them! I also think this card is good for the Caardvarks monochromatic challenge.

I am hoping to have more to share tomorrow...so be sure to stop back by! Thanks so much for the quick visit--hope you are having a great day! Be blessed:}
Until next time~

Nina Brackett....and WINNERS!

Hello, friends:}

I think last week was such a great week--I had Growing with Unity [which by the way...this week you should visit Elizabeth's blog for a chance to win and for some great Unity eye candy] and I got my new Nina Brackett Vintage Background stamps. HOOOOORAY!

I made three cards using Nina's stamps. I love this first one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it--I know it is all brown...but I couldn't resist! I made it for the release party (even though I was late) and for the Caardvarks challenge (monochromatic card). I used two of Nina's stamp sets: Vintage background and Lovely Shelf. Look at that houndstooth--ACK! Love it! I also love those words and the teapot and the sentiment! Nina rocks;)
My second card was created for the sketch challenge over on Stamp TV- Gina K. release party. I used the same two stamp sets from Nina. I couldn't help it--I just love these two! I love these background stamps--you can do any color of ink or paper...what a combo!
My last Nina card was created for the Stamp TV color challenge. We were to use turquoise and lemon yellow with a neutral. I know--I used a hint of green. I couldn't help it! The leaves made the plant look dead when I left them brown! These stamps are also from Nina's Lovely Shelf set. Plus--this card is 2.5 x 3 inches!! MINI! I'm into CAS and mini! LOVE it:} Because this is CAS--it fits well with the KISS challenge over at Pals Paper Arts
Be sure to stop by Nina's blog--she has a challenge going on right now--you could win a Stampin' Up certificate!!  I started to make my card last night, so I will have more Nina crafty goodness to share later this week! Actually, with these background stamps--I have a feeling I might be using them on almost EVERY card!!! Love them!

Thanks so much for stopping by today--oh my! I almost forgot to announce the winners! HA! That would be something I would do! Ok...so our first winner is for my random giveaway from two weeks ago. Original post is HERE. Thanks for visiting my friend's site {Ruby 2 Shoes}!! Random.org picked....
