Paper Smooches SPARKS August Anything Goes (wk5) challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

I created a THANK YOU card for one of my dearest friends, Tina! She surprised me last Monday with a gift (telling me that it was "Celebrate Savannah" day! LOL!)! 

I wanted to do a combo of simple and complex- the design is simple but the papers (Pebbles Walnut Grove) make this card pop:) 

I used the PS Many Thanks stamp set along with the PS Thanks Word and Butterfly Duet dies. EASY and PERFECT for my friend, Tina:) LOOOOOOOOOOVE those papers- esp the woodgrain for the "thanks" word!

Virtual Smooches: Sav Challenges #3 + Tips

Hello, friends:}

Today is my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! **Note: Thursdays and/or Fridays are my NEW days to post on the VS blog:) 

I'm sharing a start-to-finish video today. I created 2 cards for our new neighbors, and these cards are PERFECT for my Sav Challenges! 

I also share some random tips--- some old and some new. Either way, I thought I would share these tips because they help me when I'm crafting :) 

I also get a bit distracted in the video due to Olsen- he is scared of thunderstorms and of course while I'm recording a huge storm hit right above us! LOL! Poor guy! 

Not sure you can tell--- but it was POURING down rain! 

You can see why I got distracted- Olsen always hides under my desk when it's raining.

Paper Smooches SPARKS August Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

So... again I thought about following the sketch... but I couldn't do it! I just saw something different when I was working on this sketch! LOL!

I think my favorite part of this sketch are those banners- I made them into different pieces of my card. The banner to the right is just a bunch of words (not even a banner!). The next banner is a die cut word. And then the last two banners are two embellishments- a strip of paper (kind of like a banner) and a double half circle (which was made using the PS Ornaments die set- love this set!).

I also used the Paper Smooches Happy Birthday Words die set (I cut the words apart for a fun new look!) as well as the Bosom Buddy and Birthday Bash stamp sets for this card. Super simple and perfect for just about anyone celebrating a birthday;) My FAVORITE part of this card- the patterned papers (Basic Grey Hipster)... and the crooked pieces.... and the thread...and the colors... I just love it all:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS: August Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Hello, friends:}  

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

I made this card last Sunday at 2am! I was up and just wanted to craft. WOW! I have missed my studio and crafting time! I had so much fun putting this card together for our friends (they just bought a house!!!)!

I did some masking to create this sentiment using the PS Denim & Daisies, Christmas Sampler, and the Spreading Sunshine stamp sets. LOVE when you can mix and match stamps to create a custom sentiment! 

And that frog is from the PS Royal Cuteness set... QUESTION: does that frog look familiar? I actually created it for THIS video and THIS post! I have had it sitting on my desk for OVER a year! LOL! LOVE it!

I also used the PS Dainty Flowers and Royal Icons dies. Papers are from an OLD Simple Stories pad (Summer Fresh from 2012!) and the alphas are from an OLD Fancy Pants Design set (Childish)--- which makes this card perfect for my Sav Challenges! LOVE!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: August Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.  

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

I think that there are lots of different things you could be inspired by from this photo. I needed something simple--- so I went with the apples:) 

Talk about using OLD papers... this paper pad is from K & Co. back in 2010 (at least)! I don't mind though because now I can link this up to my Sav Challenges:) LOOOOOOOVE it!

I used a few Paper Smooches stamp sets including Falling For You and Many Thanks. I also used two chevrons from the Borderlicious set. LOVE that set so much! I also die cut the sentiment (a couple of times) using the PS Thanks Word die (LOOOOOOOVE- I think I could use this on almost EVERY card!! LOL!) and the Fancy Frames Icons dies. Add a bit of MME enamel dots and this card was DONE! Well... I did add a bit of Imagine Crafts/Tuskineko black pico embellisher on my sentiment.

Paper Smooches SPARKS: August Anything Goes (wk1) challenge

Hello, friends:} 

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

Today I created a simple card for my nephew, Kannon--- Happpppppppy birthday, Kannon! 

Kannon LOOOOOOOOOVES super heroes (I'm not even sure I could name them... Spiderman... is he one? Or the Hulk? Either way-- these characters are his favorite). So I thought that I would pull out my PS Super stamp set to create an appropriate card for him:) 

I used an old (or at least I think it's old) Crate Paper pad [Boys Rule] so I could also join in my Sav Challenges:) I also used the following Paper Smooches stamps/dies: Digits, Fascinators, Ornaments (for the circle die cut), Pinked Circles. This card came together super quick... well except for the fussy cutting, but I love it! OH! And my favorite part is all the embossing I did--- the lightening bolt on his suit, his mask, and part of the sentiment! I think it really makes the card pop! And Trav's favorite part is his silver cape and belt (I used some old silver metallic paper for those)! LOVE it! Hope Kannon loves it as much as I do! LOL!
