PDCC #129

Hello, friends:}
We are starting another color story today over on the  Play Date Cafe blog! This week's colors are dusk, magenta, seedling. Our sponsor this week is DeNami Designs.
I have to be honest with you....I did not like this color story at first. But....I worked with some stamps and papers...and I LOOOOOOOVE my card! So now I love this color story! :)

I created a fun love themed card (probably one that a husband could give to his wife on their anniversary) using this weeks PDCC color story. I used LOTS of my Paper Smooches stamps, including Falling for You, FOLKal Points, A Little Lovin', Giddy Bugs, Word Salad, Smoocheroos, He Said She Said, and Simply Said OH MY! Love it!
Not sure where the dusk color is on my card--I thought that Basic Grey paper matched perfectly (when holding it up to my iPhone....EH!).

That's it for me....but be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for complete details and prize information! The PDCC sponsor this week is DeNami DesignsBe sure to link up your creations by Tuesday, May 1st at 11:59pm EST

Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

PDCC #73

Hello, friends:}

There is another fabulous color story shared over on The Play Date Cafe blog today! WOW! I just love these soft colors--very spring like! Julie Ranae has created our color story this week. FABBY job, Julie:}
We have a wonderful sponsor this week: DeNami Design! WOW! What fabulous stamps!! The PDCC DT was lucky enough to get some free stamps to play with [THANK YOUDeNami Design!].

I received a flower stamp and a sentiment. I know I wanted to make something like a favor box. These colors are perfect for a wedding or little gift for a student or maybe Mom's day! I traced and cut out a box on Mango paper--matched perfectly to the photo color! Then I stamped lilac and dark pink flowers. I popped them by embossing and using foam dots. They wrap around the whole box. I added a large gem and the sentiment on vellum. LOVE it! Love the seam binding bow too! Super fun!

That's it for me--but you will want to jump on over to all these other amazing PDCC DT members' blogs! Our special Guest designer this week is Paulina Nakamura. So happy to have her on our team this week:}

Just for fun....

Hello, friends:}

My friend Ruby (from Ruby 2 Shoes) and I received a super fun digital image by Kristen Powers. We challenged each other to make something for Valentine's Day! So I made a special vday card for Trav. I love love love this paper from My Mind's Eye! So vintage, but still bold. The french gal is the digital stamp [Kristen Powers]--so fun to paper piece! I also used my Ippity Dots for Sure, Book It!, and So This is Love sets. LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out! I hope that Trav likes it:}
**NOTE:: I was inspired by a card/sketch made by Carolyn King

Be sure to stop by Ruby's blog to see what she made--she is running a bit behind...her internet is out. So I will update this when she is ready! ETA::: Ruby's card is up!!!  You can always stop by her blog for more amazing creations! She is sooooooooooo talented--love her card with the buttons [for the DeNami challenge]!

EIC #97

Hello, friends:}
It's my second post as an official EtsyInspired Challenge DT member!! So exciting:} This week we headed over to the Etsy store::: Mermaid's Tears Jewelry!! All the jewelry is made from sea glass [a.k.a. Mermaid's Tears]. I was inspired by several pieces--but two really caught my eye.

I really like this turtle necklace. I couldn't help but use my Unity turtle {from the Naturally You stamp set}! It matches perfectly! I also couldn't help but make a cute prayer book/journal! These books are super easy to make--and the contents are the most important!! I paper pieced the turtle and popped the four squares with foam--easy!!

My next inspiration piece was this purple/lilac necklace. BEAUTIFUL! I just found out last night that my best friend's grandpa passed away. I wanted to send her a simple yet beautiful sympathy card. I made this one using purple as my base (popped) color. The butterfly is from Unity's Butterfly Garden set. The sentiment is from Unity's Bevy of Butterflies. And the wreath is also Unity--July KOTM. I wasn't sure what the wreath actually had as berries--I colored mine with a dark purple gelly roll pen. I really like it! **NOTE:: I really wanted the berries to turn out lilac--but the gelly roll is really dark. I still think it is beautiful! Eh!
That's it for me today--but you really need to stop by the other EIC DT members' blogs!! WOW--these gals are creative:}
