FWF {Oct. 1}

Hello, friends:} Happy FWF day!!

I just love using my Unity stamps--and this first card was one of my favorite cards that I created this week! I just love this typewriter from Unity's Nov. 09 KOTM. I just love love love it--I've used it several times!! I also used Unity's Love Bug [the XOXO stamp] and the heart from Our Stories, Our Lives. The sentiment is from Unity's Dec. 09 KOTM. LOOOOOOVE it! This was created for the FWF44 challenge and inspired by this card to the right.

Love this next card too--I created it with the Hip Hop challenge sketch from last week. I kind of got carried away though...I put lots of layers and layers and then it wasn't as simple as I thought it was supposed to be for the challenge {plus, when I went to enter it--I was 4 minutes late! AH! LOL!}. I used Unity's Remember Happiness set for the sentiment. I also used the bird from Life Becoming. The four papers behind the circle (or stamp chipboard) would be the envelope top, tickets, twill, and then this red paper with the air mail sticker on the bottom. I really liked this sketch...and this card. I really like how it turned out. Now who to send it to?!!!

This next card was also inspired by the same sketch. I was also inspired by Wee Memories' challenge to use tags ...however, I'm not sure this fits [it's not as CAS as I wanted it to be]--but I'm still entering it:} I just love this set of Webster's Pages. I used Unity's Life Becoming for the sentiment and bird. LOVE how this turned out. I NEVER use rub-ons...and that purple frame was perfect for this card! LOVE IT!

My last card was created for the CARDS {leaves}, Skipping Stones {sketch}, Simon Says {autumn photo and colors}, and WT290 {banners} challenges. I love love love these leaves from Ippity's Fall For You set. I layered them and stitched the veins. The sentiment is from Unity's Harvest Of Memories. LOVE that burlap ribbon on the bottom! SO FUN!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by Unity's blog for a complete list of friends playing along with flair!! And be sure to leave some love--you could win FREE UNITY stamps;}

Today is also FWF--love love love FWF! It's my way of linking up with Unity and sharing all my creations. I want to say THANK YOU to all who were inspired and created a card for the FWF challenge last week--I was honored that this card {to the right} was the inspiration piece:} I have waited for this FOREVER! HOOOOORAY! I was actually going to play along--but I didn't know if that was legal:)

My first card was featured on the CARDS blog yesterday. Paige set up another awesome challenge- to create a card with a pocket. I love this gift card pocket that I made. I love the notches on the sides and the string to tie this pocket up. That is actually how it is staying together--I didn't use any glue. LOVE it! I used several of my Unity stamps {I like to combine sets! SO FUN!}--butterfly [Unity's Butterfly Garden], flowers [Unity's Everything Extraordinary] and the sentiment is from Ippity's Totally Happy set. LOVE it!

This next card was created for the Hip Hop sketch challenge last week. I LOOOOOOOOVE this card too! I love the sketch--and I made it my own. I rotated the sketch, and I used two Tim Holtz tickets and a sentiment [Ippity's Life is the Journey set] instead of three buttons. I also made the oval into a tag. I love that bike stamp [Unity's August 09 KOTM]. The papers I used were from the Recollections "I Wanna Ride" line. LOVE it! Then I thought that the tag was a bit bare--so I added that circular tab and stamped Unity's Amazing Me number 1. LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!
**NOTE:: This photo is much better than the one in SCS!!

And my last card is super duper cute too--I just love anything with Unity and Ippity stamps! I made this card for the Limelight sketch challenge last week. Mandy, owner of Limelight, is expecting {3rd baby!!}--so I used that as my inspiration as well! I love this card--Limelight always has an extra element to their sketches; this week we were to use tags. So I made that square piece into a tag and went from there--the sentiment is from Unity's Our Life Our Stories. The sheep is a part of Unity's Love Ewe set. I don't know if you can see the background paper--in each of the little flowers there is a blue dot. I popped those with matching glitter. It looks so cute! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Unity blog for a complete list of friends with flair! Love it--and be sure to look for the blinkie--you could win some FREE Unity!

H{ippity} Hop Sept. 13~ dedicated to my friend, Michelle!!

Hello, friends:}

It's H{ippity} Hop day!! I love Mondays--esp. when I can play along with the Ippity gals! I just love my Ippity stamps! I love love love them! I love anything Unity and Ippity!!

My first project was created for the Ippity “fall theme” challenge last week. I love love love this card--it turned out super cute! And I used four different Ippity stamp sets:: leaves {Devoted}, trees {So This Is Love}, sentiment {Life’s Little Moments and Fall For You}. Just love the plaid in the back...and that bow is a new technique. I tried to make a double bow--it kind of looks like it should:) LOVE it! **NOTE:: This card was featured yesterday on the Ippity site! THANKS, Eryn!!  This card is also good for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge [stitching].
This next project was paper pieced---actually, everything I do is paper pieced:} I made this for a bride. I love sharing my favorite recipes...and since I hardly ever cooked before I was married--this would have been nice to get from someone as a wedding gift. It is a small recipe book. I love these papers from October Afternoon. I used my Unity Kitchen Logic stamps with Ippity's banner from Love in Return. The sentiment was stamped with the stamps from Unity's May KOTM.  Just love how this turned out! I love the copper wire for the handle of that teapot! SO FUN! If you know of any good recipes I should include in this gift--leave me a comment!
I used the Hip Hop sketch from last week for this card, which was created for a very special friend, RUBY--who's birthday was yesterday! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this card! I love the Webster's Pages I used--I got them at Limelight! I also love that chipboard stamp. I received that in a package from CARDS magazine for being published in May. I used my distress inks to make it that beautiful orange brown color! ACK--first time doing this and I LOVE IT! I used Ippity's sentiment from the Just Wanted To Say set {such a FUN set to use for almost all occasions!!} and Unity's butterfly from Life's Becoming. LOVE it!! I can't wait until RUBY gets it in the mail {she lives in England}! **NOTE::: RUBY if you are reading this....don't look at this pic!
My last creation for today was really simple...after I messed up 4 times! I couldn't stamp that beautiful image--I guess I wasn't pushing down hard enough. I made a tag just to say thanks! I love this tag--it is so neutral with a pop of purple/pink. LOVE it! I used Ippity's Now & Always set with the sentiment from The Simple Things. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! CAS!
And it's official--it's Michelle's last H{ippity} Hop! SOOOOOOOOO sad! I still remember my first conversation with her! I told her I would be her personal secretary {which I still would love to work with you, Michelle! Just let me know if you need someone to make coffee or give you a break from answering phones!}. I just love Michelle--great friend with a kind, generous, loving, heart!! Thanks for all you have done, Michelle:} This tag is also good for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge [stitching].

That's all for me today! Love sharing my creations with you! Be sure to stop by the Ippity blog for a complete list of blogs to visit--WOW! Blown away AGAIN!

Thanks so much for all your love and support! Be blessed:}

FWF [Sept. 10] **lots of pics!!

Hello, friends:}

What a great day!! It's FRIDAY--meaning....friends with flair over at the Unity blog!! HOOORAY! Love Unity!!

Just love creating with my Unity stamps, and my first creation was a sneak peek last week. I created this sewing journal for all my ideas and notes. I have a new sewing machine {well...it was bought a year ago and it is STILL new to me}, and the manual is like 100 pages! So as I am reading it, I like to write down notes or hints that I find helpful. A notebook is very important because this sewing machine has a huge touch screen and more technology on/in it than I can manage to figure out. So notes are good! For this notebook, I used my Unity Stuck On You set. I paper pieced each image on the sewing machine. I also cut a real pin to make it look like a needle on the machine. I masked the thread that was coming off the spool so I could glue down thread in a random pattern. I tried to make it look just like the real stamp image-but it was super hard to glue down thread in that tight of a space! I just love how this turned out. Simple--but it was SUPER HARD! I'm not going to lie--paper piecing is difficult with little images. Either way--I loved making it! And I love love love this Unity set:}
A close-up of the detail on the sewing machine.

This next card was paper pieced---another VERY DIFFICULT image to piece. But I LOVE IT! I love how this card turned out. I made it for the Limelight sketch challenge last week. I was really stumped at this sketch--but then I got the new Unity Joy Ride stamps in the mail and knew exactly what I wanted to make! The sentiment is from Unity's December KOTM. I just love this card! So fun:]
I created this card just for the Paper Crafts Magazine challenge {use text in a different way}. I made the text like chipboard letters. I really liked this saying (but the stamp was too small)...so I used my Unity owl from the August KOTM and my Cricut to make it bigger. I love how this turned out! I love owls--love them! I also love the challenges over at PC! So fun!

This last card has been sitting in my pic file for at least two weeks! I have been dying to share it with you!!! It actually won #1 over on the Paper Crafts Magazine blog this week! I created it using Teri Anderson's sketch. AND...Trav helped me figure out what I was going to make. I love when he helps! I used Ippity's bird stamp from the Fall For You set. I also used Unity's Spring Unity set for the sentiment. I embroidered the word "home". LOOOOOOOOOOVE it! I love this card--LOVE it!!
That's it for me today--but don't forget to head over to the Unity blog for a complete list of friends with flair! As always--fabulous creations shared today!! And you could win free Unity stamps--so leave comments!!
