Retro Sketches

Hello, friends:}

I have about fifteen cards that I need to create today--all for birthdays, sympathy, thank yous, and more! I can barely keep up!

So I decided to make a CAS card using my Echo Park For The Record 2 {available HERE from the Ribbon Carousel},  as well as the Retro Sketches challenge as my inspiration. I love these papers--this is the perfect Thank You card for our pastor. My only problem is that I want to add ribbons, gems, staples, or flags and banners....I have a problem with CAS! It's not my style! Either way, I think our pastor will love this card:)

THANKS so much for stopping by! I hope to share another card soon! Be blessed:}

Just For Fun--Retro Sketches

Hello, friends:}

It's been a LONG time since I've been able to just create for fun....but I got about an hour in yesterday to create these cards. It was fun just to craft.

I tutor a student, and on Monday I met with his teacher and principal. I wanted to know what I needed to do to help him succeed in class and on the standardized test. **It's been four years since I was in the classroom; things have changed, so I wanted to make sure I knew the rules/etc. I created these school themed cards as a "thank you".
I used the Retro Sketches challenge as my inspiration for the this card. The papers are from My Mind's Eye School Daze collection {available HERE from the Ribbon Carousel}. The sentiment is from my Paper Smooches Smarty Pants stamp set. And the ribbon is available HERE from the RC. LOVE how this turned out!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by later this week...I'm sharing some CAS cards using Momenta product! LOVE:)

Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper and Such challenge {post2}

Hello, friends:)

**Please click HERE or scroll up/down for my Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge post.

Today starts a new challenge {Our Feathered Friends} over on the Paper and Such blog. Be sure to stop by the blog for more inspiration and challenge details!

I used the Retro Sketch #15 for my gift card/card design. I also used some of my new Dear Lizzy Neapolitan papers--love the soft yet bold colors! The top panel is actually vellum! LOVE:) The bow is made from my favorite vintage seam binding {available HERE from the RC}. I used the showcased Paper and Such stamp set, Song in my Heart. I love how this turned out!
I added some silver, pale pink, and pale green gems for extra pizzazz!
I also have a picture of my little friend, Ilana. She was crafting with me the other day. She loved the birdie images and wanted to make her own birthday card using the same stamps. She did a fabulous job coloring! I love her top color story--those birdies look so pretty!
That's it for me today! But make sure you stop by the Paper and Such blog for more details and inspiration from the DT!!! I hope you will join in the fun:)

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps #80 challenge

Hello, friends:}

I've created another fun card for the new Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge #80--a photo inspiration! For more information on this challenge, click HERE
I love decorative umbrellas--only because 1) I have to cover my face/skin with one while out in the sun and 2) we just bought the coolest beach umbrella. So I guess you know what I was inspired by for my card:) I was kind of inspired by the teal blue color....I used my My Little Shoebox papers with my Rainy Day Ruby SCRS image. LOOOOOOOVE how this card turned out! I cannot take credit for the sketch/design--I used the Retro Sketch #13 as my inspiration {and YES! I followed the sketch!}.

I used a clear fine glitter for the raindrops--SO pretty in the light (but not in the pic! LOL!).

That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the SCRS blog for more details and to see the rest of the team's amazing creations!

You have until Sunday, June 3rd at 9pm PST to play along with the current challenge {HERE}. All SCRS challenges are open to all players--this week you are playing along to win a SCRS stamp!  In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a SC image.

Thanks so much for stopping by--I can't wait to see what you make for this challenge! Be blessed:}
