Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The second week of the month is always a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

Trav and I are enjoying our cruise and our 7th anniversary (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Babiss!!!)!!! So this will be a quick post:)

This was a fairly simple card- it came together nicely! I used some Heidi Swapp Serendipity papers with the Paper Smooches Many Thanks, Potpourri, and Timber stamp sets! The woodgrain has been stamped on a transparency-- inspired by my Virtual Smooches video HERE! LOVE x100000! I also die cut the sentiment using the NEW PS Quotes Tags dies. LOVE!!!!!!!! I love the masculine feel to this card-- the colors and the design.... and yet this is a great card for just about anyone! PERFECT!
Not sure if you can see the little hearts stamped in grey-- LOVE! I also love the vertical sentiment (I was trying to follow the sketch but think outside the box! LOL!)!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love

Hello, friends:}

Today is the 8th of the month and that means it's time for a creative blog hop with the Reverse Confetti DT and friends! We are inspiring you with projects and cards using the NEW September release stamp sets (well... all of the RC stamps really!). We also have some EXTRA fans joining in the fun with the DT!!!

If you came from Val's blog, you are in the right place-- if you would like to start from the beginning of the hop, please click HERE or go to the Reverse Confetti blogIt would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don't miss a thing!!! We have tons of inspiration for you to see using RC's brand new stamp sets and CONFETTI CUT die cuts!!!

I created a SUPER SIMPLE treat tent using the NEW RC Confetti Cut Sweet Treat Tent, as well as the So Stripey and Bring on the Merry stamp sets. If you love to give treats as gifts for the holidays, this is the PERFECT little decoration for you! And it would be SUPER easy to mass produce

I used some gold metallic paper for the tent itself. I stamped and embossed some glittered stripes for the accent. I also embossed the sentiment. 1-2-3 EASY! I finished this tent with some silver embroidery floss and a cookie ***which by the way-- MMMMMMMMMM! I do not like sweets, but this cookie comes with raspberry filling or chocolate. SOOOO good!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for more inspiration and details! Next up--hop on over to Susan's amazing blog! **If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog

These two stamp sets are PERFECT for making Christmas cards, tags, and decorating gifts for the holiday! And I bet they are perfect for the Project Life or December Daily projects!!!

I used the arrow from the Tinsel 'n Trim stamp set for an extra embellishment. I really do love this card! And I LOVE that I'm already getting some Christmas cards created EARLY!!!
You can't really tell in this photo that I've used silver metallic paper... so I turned it a bit...

A bit of Whisker Graphics {post1}

Hello, friends:}

***After 6am EST- please click HERE for my Reverse Confetti post and GIVEAWAY

Today I'm sharing my Whisker Graphics creation that is featured on the WG blog-- you can also read about this creation over on the WG blog HERE.

So today, I want to share a project that I've been thinking about for about a month. Around this time of the year, I like to start thinking about my new calendar and how I want to organize it....I also start thinking about my new Yearly Journals that I make (click HERE for this year's example-- which also used some WG bitty bags). And sometimes I like to make up a binder for new notes and journaling/etc. While I was thinking about this... I began to think about how I could use my WG bitty bags in a different way. ***I know-- I cannot stop using these bags! I LOOOOOOOVE them!  And I think I came up with the greatest idea for my new prayer journal.

I am keeping track of my blessings and prayers, as well as answered prayers, in a new little mini binder. I wanted to create a special place for verses and scriptures that I could reread throughout the year. And that's when it hit me!

I decided to use a WG white horizontal middy bitty bag for my pocket. I love the idea of using this bag because I could use the white/kraft lines on the outside of the bag for special scriptures too! And I used some NEW WG striped petite stickys to reinforce the holes.****NOTE: be sure to place these stickys on the front and backside of your bagThis will make certain you have a good reinforced hole. I love it! These are perfect for my new binder-- perfect size and perfect design!

Now there are two ways you can create reinforced holes with the petite stickys for your bag  The first way is to attach the petite stickys and holes off the side. This will allow you to use the entire width/size of the bag for your papers, pencils, etc.
The other way is to attach the petite stickys right on the bag where the holes are located. I just traced the holes from a regular paper and then covered it with my petite stickys. I really like this design- and I have a feeling I'll be making more of these for other binders and calendar pieces! LOVE
That's it for me today! And be sure to stop by the WG blog for more inspiration. Also-- did you know about Whisker Graphics's new products??? Check it out HERE! There is CORAL divine twine! OH MY! Must get a spool of that! LOVE!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches Sparks Nov. Trend Watch challenge

Hello, friends:}

****Be sure to check out the Paper Smooches SPARKS design team call! I cannot tell you how much I LOOOOOOOVE being on this team-- and I would LOVE for you to join in the fun! Click HERE for more details!

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!!

The first week of the month is always a TRENDS WATCH challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following photo:

I had so many ideas for this challenge-- stripes can go so many directions on your paper that I couldn't decide what paper or design I wanted to use! LOL! I also knew I wanted to use that striped wash tape on my card-- soooooooo many stripes to use!

I ended up making this sympathy card for a VERY SPECIAL friend. She has been hit with two sudden deaths in her family (both within a week or two of each other). I used some pretty Fancy Pants Designs Collecting Moments papers along with the PS Spiritual Sampler set for the sentiment, which was stamped on a PS Word Bubble die cut piece. ****NOTE: It took me 6 tries to get that sentiment right-- I tried to use striped/textured paper... DID NOT WORK! LOL! I also die cut some hearts from gold metallic paper using the Paper Smooches Wedding Shower dies (I LOOOOOOOVE this heart!). I finished this card off with a messy yet beautiful clump of May Arts Ribbon white twine and a mini clothes pin. LOVE! I hope this card brightens her day, and that God would comfort and bring peace to her and her family.
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love
And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends November 10th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps-- did you see the new stamp sets??? I literally just got my package of new sets and dies the other day-- LOVE x100000!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
