Paper Smooches challenge- February 2016

Today we start a NEW Paper Smooches monthly challenge. The challenge for February is...... FUN & CUTE!  *See notes below about how easy this challenge is!

***NOTE: I've decided that everything Paper Smooches is FUN & CUTE! This is the easiest challenge ever--- just make a new PS project and link it up! Literally! Every. single. PS creation is FUN & CUTE! I love it:)  **This was said in a very dramatic way- hopefully I wrote that out correctly! LOL! 

My first project for this month's challenge is a congrats card for Kim because TODAY is PS's 5th anniversary! HOOOOOOORAY! Celebrate BIG, Kim! Here's to 100+ years of amazing images, stamps, and dies! 

I used the PS Noggin Toppers and We Totally Click stamp set along with the Butterfly Duet dies. The butterfly image was cut in half and then I trimmed the bottom of the wings to make it fit the card better. The papers are from the Crate Paper Poolside paper pad. Add a bit of washi tape, gold thread, and mini staples and it was done! EASY! 

Is the paper cute? YES! 
Is the design fun? YES!
Does it use Paper Smooches stamps/dies? YES! 

Then it's perfect for the PS February challenge:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS: July Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

Last month I challenged myself to stick to the sketch 100%- no changes what-so-ever {check out that post HERE}. Well.... I have to admit that I didn't remember this challenge until JUST NOW! LOL! Maybe next month! 

I changed quite a bit for this challenge. 

1. The tag has been rotated and is now horizontal.
2. The bow is a cluster of embellishments (including a super fun mini spotted feather)! 
3. The "twine" or diags are a combo of scalloped paper (made with the PS Waves die) and washi tape... and they really aren't in a diag... oh well. 
4. The word was moved to the tag (but that's allowed- sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch!).

Even though I changed some things, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this card. I love the papers [Crate Paper On Trend] and I loooooooooooove all the PS dies I used! Trav says he likes the "see through word" on the tag [PS Gift Tags and Love & Cherish dies], as well as that feather. The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Good Gab set. LOVE everything about this card!

Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Anything Goes (wk3) challenge

Hello, friends:} Happy Father's Day, Dad! And Happy Father's Day, Kevin/Gary! ANNNNNNNNNND Happy Father's Day to my Heavenly Father, GOD! 

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!   

That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

I've created a super duper cute dino card for our little friend Isaiah. It's his birthday tomorrow:) 

Happy birthday, Isaiah! We love you! 

To be honest, Trav helped me create this card last night! NO JOKE! We used the following  PS stamps and dies: Sassy Script, Cuteasaurus, Dinos 1, Sassy Letters, Adornments, Speech Bubbles! Simple card but with lots of stamps/dies:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS: April Designer Drafts challenge

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week we are sharing a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge. 

This week we are inspired by the following sketch:

**Sentiments can be placed anywhere on the sketch.

So... again I thought I was doing well at following sketches... but this one I might have went off track a bit! LOL! Now I didn't change much, but it made a big difference with this sketch! Here's what I changed: 

• Scallops into folder
• Moved the line to the other side

I created a birthday card for my brother Carrel (pronounced Karl). I wanted the patterns to be bold and masculine (papers from Crate Paper Boys Rule) and then I just added die cuts and stamps that matched. I used the Paper Smooches Ornaments, Adornments  Hexalongs, and the NEWEST File Folders dies (I was able to get my hands on these early)- LOVE! And I used stamps from the PS Off the Charts, Little Fella, and Digits sets. Seems like a lot of detail and work, but it was EASY! Hopefully you see how I was inspired:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS: March Anything Goes (wk5) challenge

This is a card that I made for my friend, J--- she's the one that I disciple on Tuesday nights:) She turned 18 this year!!! She has an eclectic style so I picked some of my favorite papers by Crate Papers to create this birthday card for her.

I used the PS Lovely Thoughts stamp set along with the Butterfly Duet and Adornments dies [I created the flag using this die set]. To finish the card, I added some texture spray by IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko and a gold embossed sentiment. EASY--- LOVE! And it was perfect for J:)

Virtual Smooches: A Layout

Today I've done something a bit different (again)! I normally do not scrapbook... but today I'm sharing a layout that I created using my PS stamps/dies. I LOOOOOOOVE this photo of Trav and I.... and I thought I should make a page for my neglected scrapbook. Plus, I keep telling Kim that I will make a page someday! LOL! Well.... that day is TODAY:)

Paper Smooches SPARKS April Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.  

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

So I was inspired by soooooo much from this photo--- but I focused on the different types of banners and the reason for banners and celebrating. Those are two major ways I was inspired for today's creation! 

I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE this card! It's going to be extremely hard to send this to my sister-in-law (who's expecting their 2nd child). I know this because it was SOOOOO hard to cut those beautiful papers by Crate Paper. I love this color combo!!! And I love that hemp cord! I love that little bunny- he's so sweet and hanging on the wrapped banner! I also love the polaroid with the gold embossed sentiment inside! I love love love that gold embossing powder by Imagine Crafts! I LOOOOOVE it! I used the Paper Smooches A Magical Spring and Pip Squeaks stamp sets along with the Hearts and Flag Tag dies for this card. LOOOOOOVE! I seriously love it so much!
