Virtual Smooches: A Layout

Today is my day to share a video over on the  Paper Smooches video blog- Virtual Smooches! 

Today I've done something a bit different (again)! I normally do not scrapbook... but today I'm sharing a layout that I created using my PS stamps/dies. I LOOOOOOOVE this photo of Trav and I.... and I thought I should make a page for my neglected scrapbook. Plus, I keep telling Kim that I will make a page someday! LOL! Well.... that day is TODAY:)

Mama Elephant August Challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today is a special day over on the Mama Elephant blog!!! There's a NEW challenge that starts right now!!! Be sure to stop by HERE for more details and to play along! 

I loooooooove inspiration photo challenges-- so of course I joined in the fun with the ME team! I was inspired by the following: 

• black/white striped pillow- love b/w! 
• the gold dinosaur- I didn't even see this at first! When I did see it, I instantly knew I wanted to add some gold glittered chevrons!
• layered pillows- I layered a couple of patterned papers together
• XO pink sentiment and pillow- this is where my main sentiment inspiration came from!

I was also inspired by THIS layout by Maggie Holmes-- I love her paper design and that inspired me to try stamping white lines using the ME Basic Borders stamp set on some Basic Grey papers. I also loved her washi tape and dots on the left side of her page-- so I had to recreate that for this card! LOVE!  I also used THIS tutorial to finally use some A*Muse Studio Simple Stick powder-- it works great with glitter! LOVE x10000! Other ME stamps used include Big Words, Full House, and Type It!

To create those diags-- I cut my patterned paper and stamped the Basic Border image several times before attaching it to the card base.
