PDCC #68

Hello, friends:}

OH MY OH MY! I am blown away by all the fabulous creations made for last week's Play Date Cafe challenge [color story by Ruby 2 Shoes]! WOW! Each card and project was so creative...that it inspired me to step outside of my "card making" box and make something different for this week!
This week's color story has been picked by our talented leader, Julie Ranae. What a beautiful inspiration photo! We are focusing on the colors:: pink and taupe. I instantly thought of cupcakes! I make some really good cupcakes from scratch! And...I had some of my friends from the local Staples [Dave, David, Cecilia, Jenna, Rick] to thank for always doing such an amazing job on my orders, plus, Dave has been promoted and is moving store locations! So I had to make them these Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cupcakes with Cookie Dough Buttercream frosting. MMMMMM! I wrapped each cupcake with a white container and pink tissue paper that was cut with pinking shears. Then I tied some sandstone seam binding around it. I added banners to two of the cupcakes using Ippity's Music of My Heart set {music background} and Unity's March 2010 KOTM for the sentiment. That beaded bird is from Michael's--$1!!! Get out! LOVE IT! LOVE this entire project! THANKS everyone at Staples!! You rock:}

Click HERE for part of the recipe for the cupcakes--I use a special homemade recipe for the cookies!!

That's it for me today....but wait! The PDCC team has done it again--these projects are AMAZING! You have got to check out what they are sharing today!!! And we have an amazing guest designer with us this week:: Kazan Clark.

Don't forget to head over to The Play Date Cafe blog for more details on this challenge! Remember to link up before Tuesday, Feb. 15th at 11:59pm. I cannot wait to see what you make!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some love! I've got the best teammates, friends, and followers:) LOVE YOU! Be blessed!

This was such a fun project to post for the challenge post because it was so unique and a PERFECT use of the colors! I am now OFF to check out the recipe, but I think they would taste better if you made them and HAND-DELIVERED THEM DIRECTLY TO MY DOOR!!!

OMG, yummy is the word. Oh, but that birdie is what I'm in love with. I am overdosed on bird images this week..four back to back cards with birds. Your banners and musical backgrounds are splendid. Super project!

I am truly impressed that you chose something that is NOT a card for your upload this week. And I like the story behind the cupcakes, and how delicious they sound. You're SO sweet!
