Sports Fever over at The Sweet Stamp Shop

Hello, friends:}
I'm back with another Sweet Stamp Shop creation. It's my day over on the SSS blog--so be sure to stop by there and leave some love! And today--we are talking SPORTS!

I have to admit--I am NOT a fan of sports! I remember playing tee-ball and sitting in left field (or was it right field) playing in the grass! I also remember being the LAST picked for everything in PE. I couldn't run--LONG story...and I couldn't understand the rules. So I gave up on sports and joined choir, drama, and band. It was a much better fit!

When I saw this SSS Sports Fever stamp set, I knew I had to make a LO about the TRUTH:) I tried to put statistics up at the top of my journaling...but I didn't understand what a stat was or what to write--so I only have three! LOL! I used the basketball from Sports Fever on basketball paper! How cool is that? And I also stamped the sentiment with the SSS Sweet Alpha Doodles set. LOVE:)

**NOTE:: That picture--totally fake! I borrowed that jersey (not sure who the Bulls are)...and Trav had me pose for a pic. More pics below.
Journaling: Statistics Played: volleyball for half a year; Attended: games only because of Pep Band; Fav sport: ??? I am NOT a fan of sports....I don't understand the game(s), and I cannot understand the rules. I definitely CANNOT run or make a touchdown (basket, goal, etc.)....In school or for fun, I was always the LAST PICKED. This photo- fake! I don't know a thing about basketball!!

I remember always seeing the cheerleaders and fans with fun ribbons and decorations in their hair at games (**NOTE:: Remember I was there for pep band--so I wasn't watching the game! LOL!). So I decided to use the same SSS Sports Fever set for some hair accessories. All you need are two ribbons {favorite team's colors}, a stamped image {you could use this for football, softball, soccer, basketball, etc.}, and a hair clip.
Layer the bows together and glue to the clip. Attach the basketball to the center with a glue dot. EASY!
So there you have it! That's it for me today--I just love using my SSS images!

And here are some silly pics of my photo session on the basketball courts....I was a MESS!

Be sure to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop blog for more info on this card and to see what the owner of SSSNicole, has been up to! Those are the cutest pix of you, Savvy! And I LOVE that you spoke your true feelings about sports, and must say I can echo every word you wrote. (except the choir part) I have never liked, or understood, sports. THey bore me! Sometimes I feel like that must make me un-American or something.

Cute basketball hair clips! I'm totally thinking you should sell those at your craft fairs!

Basketball paper = awesome! And with your height, Sav, I'm shocked you weren't forced into learning basketball. Totally fun layout, even if it's FAKE!

lol, you are too darn cute! fabby idea for a page. I'm not a sports girl either. I was never picked for any high school sport and when I tried to play on our college softball ledge (for fun), I ran into a softball. Yes, I ran into it, it didn't hit me. So sad. Ha.
