RCC 77- Love is in the Air {post1}

Hello, friends:}

**After 9am--please scroll up/down for my Mama Elephant highlight post.

Have you played along with this month's Ribbon Carousel challenge yet??? The RCC is now doing monthly challenges with a huge prize at the end for one lucky player!!! The prize::: a ribbon carousel!!!!!! This month's theme/challenge--- LOVE IS IN THE AIR

I just LOOOOOOOVE my card for today! It's one of my favorite of 2013!!!

I used some old SEI papers {With All My Heart} along with a Jillibean Soup journaling circle and a Pebbles clothes pin. I stamped several images and sentiments using Paper Smooches FOLKal Points, Woofers & Tweeters, and Alphadot stamp sets. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that ribbon-- it's perfect for Valentine's day (or any love card!)! LOOOOOVE x1000!
I love that you can see the shimmer on that bottom chevron paper, as well as the texture on the puppy's nose, in this photo!

That's it for me today--but make sure you stop by the RCC blog for more details for this challenge and DT inspiration!!! And click HERE to link up your creation!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Trend Watch challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The first week of the month is always a TRENDS WATCH challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following photo:
Last month the vintage theme threw me for a loop... and this week {since it's such a broad theme of using polka dots}, I was thrown again

I knew I wanted to use polka dots for everything-- so I went through my paper stash and found lots of polka dot papers from Echo Park and Jillibean Soup. I love my ribbons that I've used esp. that orange pom pom one-- it kind of reminds me of polka dots:) I used my new Paper Smooches A Magical Spring set for the bunny image, as well as the PS Alphadot {I used the polka dot stamp for the background of the metal tag},  Cuteasaurus, and FOLKal Points sets. LOVE x10000! **I think that I was using last week's color combo as my inspiration as well:)
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends February 10th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps (I got four new sets to play with last week--I cannnnnnot wait to ink them up!!! AND I just ordered some new PS dies!! Cannot wait!).

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge {12.29- 1.11}

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another photo inspired challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog.

I just love this inspirational photo/sentiment! I decided to make two cards for this week's challenge. For my first card....I was inspired by the rainbow colors. I know, I know--I'm always trying to think outside the box:) I used some of my old Jillibean Soup {Sesame Oil} and Echo Park {Sunshine} papers for the background. I added some sunshine rays using my Sassafras Marmalade paper. I stamped the  clouds from the Paper Smooches Forest Whimsy set. The sun and his glasses are from the PS Sunny Side Up set. I added the sentiment from the PS Word Salad set. Super fun--LOVE that sun and his grin!!!
This picture shows the card and dimension better:)

For my second card...I was inspired by the quote. I thought it would be different to make a card that "encouraged". The sentiment is stamped using the PS Alpha Dots stamp set. Hope is a stamp from the PS Hope set. I used some of my new papers from Crate Paper. And that ribbon--SO LUSH! It's available HERE from The Ribbon Carousel. LOVE!!!
I know you can't really tell in these photos, but it was stamped in hot pink and then I used a glaze pen over it. It looks so pretty in person! OY!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends January 11th. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

ATU #26 {birthday/celebration theme}

Hello, friends:}

Today starts a NEW challenge over at All Things Unity!! This is a good challenge too (each one is good! I just love this theme though--I think I make these cards the MOST!)!!
Images by Lettering Delights- www.letteringdelights.com

This 2 week challenge is all about BIRTHDAYS and OTHER SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS. You can make just about anything! LOVE it! I made two birthday cards, since I have 9 birthdays to celebrate this month! This first card was created using the CPS 207 sketch. I love love love how this card turned out--I love these Jillibean Soup papers--and this owl/sentiment are Itty Bittys from Unity's co-brand with Jillibean! LOOOOOOVE it! I'm also entering this card in the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I am also entering these two cards in the ABC DT challenge {birthday}.

This next card was made using the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist challenge sketch. I turned the sketch sideways, and made the cupcake {Ippity Cuppy Cakes} the oval. I love how those parenthesis {Ippity Here & Now} look around the sentiment. I also have to note--I died that seam binding by myself! ACK! I know! I am so excited:) I learned that technique from Lin and Virginia!! THANKS, ladies.
That's it for me today--but you are going to LOOOOOOVE seeing what the ATU DT gals created. So hop on over to their blogs.
