ATU #37 Going Old School

Hello, friends:}

I apologize for not getting this post up on time! I normally am very organized--but this past week was SUPER busy and filled with celebrating. Time got away from me!
I am super excited about this new challenge theme over at ATU--we are going OLD SCHOOL/VINTAGE! Our sponsor for the month of August is Martha - you might know her from the blog Creating is FUN! She is a fabulous friend and talented crafter. Be sure to check out her post HERE.

I created this card a couple of weeks ago (before I got my goodies from Martha). I actually CASED myself! I made a card similar for Erin's birthday--and I just loved the vintage feel and the papers....so I made a birthday card for my nephew Kannon. I used Unity's bike from It's A Good Day. TOO cute:)
To help you get started, you should check out what the ATU DT gals made--this will def. get you inspired. We also have some amazing Guest DT with us this month::: Lee MurphyJenMarie, and Martha Pineda Soooo fabulous! Be sure to leave some love for all our gals:}

Head on over to the All Things Unity blog for more details too--remember to link up during the month of August and you could win our monthly prize from Martha- PaperLove!!! Can't wait to see what you make:)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed!!!

PDCC #93

Hello, friends:}

Hoooooray for another fun day over at the Play Date Cafe! We are starting another color story today-watermelon, sorbet, lime. I love these colors together--for my creation, I went off the watermelon image from the graphic.
I wanted to make an envelope card similar to one that I saw on a blog a couple weeks back (I cannot for the life of me figure out where I saw it--please let me know if it was you!! I will add your link!). I made this envelope by hand and just decorated the outside. SO FUN! I love that little watermelon and the calendar tag {Unity images}. I also love those letters--they are foam and match the polka dot paper PERFECTLY! I also used my favorite twill ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel!! LOVE this envelope!
That's it for me....but be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for complete details and prize information! The PDCC sponsor this week is Pink Persimmon. And don't forget to stop by all the other PDCC DT members' blogs-- AMAZING! And speaking of our DT--we are welcoming our two new DT members: Julie Day and Denise Johnson! HOOOORAY!

RCC14 Anything Goes!!!

Hello, friends:}

**Please click HERE for my Gina K. Designs August Release Party sneak peek!

If you have not been to The Ribbon Carousel Challenge--head over there NOW!! We are starting a brand new challenge today!

This month we are introducing a new addition to our regular crewmates: a Stowaway Crew Member (aka Guest Designer)! Each month, based simply on participation and love for all things Ribbon Carousel, it’s our way of highlighting YOU, our faithful friends!

This month, Kelli Hull joins us for some uber fun creating. In honor of Kelli and her fabulously crazy, party-girl personality, this week’s challenge (RCC14) is ANYTHING GOES!!
As an added bonus, EAD Designs is sponsoring us this week and has provided each designer with product! And one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a prize pack!
E.A.D DESIGNS allows you to change the look of any room in just a few minutes. Our Products can be used on more than just walls and on many surfaces. Our customers are always coming up with new and fun ideas to use our products. Founded in 2004, Emily has grown her business to now include a Custom Art Design Center and Papercrafting RubOns, Stickerz and Printed Wall Art. And my favorite part….all of Emily’s products are like ours….MADE IN THE USA!

Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings, anything will work!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

*** Please remember that your creation must have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***

Because today was my day for Guest Designing and a sneak peek for the Gina K. Designs stamps by Tami Mayberry, I decided to use my little gnome and sentiment ("gnomie") from my new set {Gnome One Like You}. I also used the mushroom stickers from EAD Designs. I wanted to make them pop more, so I added some liquid enamel for the spots! Super cute! I used my favorite ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel- yellow twill ribbon! LOVE it!
The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:

  • Make your creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
  • Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC14) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
  • Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
  • Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
This Challenge will end on August 7, 2011 at 11:59pm EST.

I really hope you will play along! Please stop by the RCC blog for more details, more projects from the RCC DT, and to link up your creation! Also, please head over to The Ribbon Carousel website and check out their products--I ordering more spools this week! LOVE all this ribbon:}

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

MOOOOORE publications! {squeal}

Hello, friends:}

I just love seeing my creations in print! I am honored each time I get an acceptance email from a magazine company! It just makes me....SQUEAL!! And I love sharing with you what I've made....so here are some publications from the July CARDS magazine.
**NOTE:: Funny story--I used real names on my card and envelope, but the info is incorrect. The funny part is that I named this card CAMEO BRIDAL INVITE--but in the magazine it's called EMILY ZAHRT! LOL. Oh my!

**Another funny story-- this card was made for our neighbors to invite them over for a party/get together....they just recently moved and my card for them is with the magazine company still! Maybe I should still send it...but to our new neighbors??!!

That's it for me today! I've got more creations to share--so be on the lookout;)

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed!
