ATU #26 {birthday/celebration theme}

Hello, friends:}

Today starts a NEW challenge over at All Things Unity!! This is a good challenge too (each one is good! I just love this theme though--I think I make these cards the MOST!)!!
Images by Lettering Delights- www.letteringdelights.com

This 2 week challenge is all about BIRTHDAYS and OTHER SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS. You can make just about anything! LOVE it! I made two birthday cards, since I have 9 birthdays to celebrate this month! This first card was created using the CPS 207 sketch. I love love love how this card turned out--I love these Jillibean Soup papers--and this owl/sentiment are Itty Bittys from Unity's co-brand with Jillibean! LOOOOOOVE it! I'm also entering this card in the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I am also entering these two cards in the ABC DT challenge {birthday}.

This next card was made using the Ippity Hippity Hop Twist challenge sketch. I turned the sketch sideways, and made the cupcake {Ippity Cuppy Cakes} the oval. I love how those parenthesis {Ippity Here & Now} look around the sentiment. I also have to note--I died that seam binding by myself! ACK! I know! I am so excited:) I learned that technique from Lin and Virginia!! THANKS, ladies.
That's it for me today--but you are going to LOOOOOOVE seeing what the ATU DT gals created. So hop on over to their blogs.

And don't forget to link up your birthday or celebration creations over on the ATU blog! You could win the March prize package! This month we are giving away some Jillibean Soup papers and stickers. LOVE it! I *wish* I could win!

Head on over to the All Things Unity blog for more details too--remember to link up before Saturday, March 19th!! Can't wait to see what you make:)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm headed up to Orlando (again) today to visit with my favorite older brother and his wife!! I'll post pics soon! Be blessed:}

EIC #129 {Desired Things}

Hello, friends:}

Welcome back for another awesome week over at EtsyInspired! I just love love love visiting all these Etsy stores! This week we are headed over to Desired Things. This store is filled with beautiful creations made from quirky jewelry and abstract art. I was inspired by this beautiful red necklace. I loved how there was a hint of green--it reminded me of these real dried flowers that I just bought. I used them to make this card. I love that hint of green on my card too--stamp from Unity. I wanted to use gold (like the necklace) but I only had silver. EH! Just love how this card turned out. If only you could smell the flowers:)
That's it for me today--but don't worry! The EIC DT members have created some pretty amazing creations to share with you today! LOVE IT!

FWF {March 4th}--Recent publications and a NEW card

Hello, friends:}

Hang in there!! This is a LONG post with FAB pics!! New card at the bottom!!!

Happy FWF!! Be sure to stop by the Unity blog for a complete list of blogs to hop!

I have some exciting news to share today! I know most of you have already seen this...but I wanted to share it on my blog! I have wanted to get published for quite some time...and I was published last year in several magazines, including CARDS and For The Home. There is just something about seeing your name in print--and I just love how the magazine photographers really make your creations POP! Well--on Feb. 15th, my first two publications were on the stands in the Paper Crafts March/April issue! ACK! I was sooooooo excited! I have two creations in this magazine--both for the baby creation section [challenge: not using pink or blue]. I just looooooove this card--Chapter 2: New baby. I love the papers, and I used my Unity butterfly stamp {Butterfly Beauty}. LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!
OH MY--there it is!! Soooo cute! Be sure to look for my tag in this mag too!

I was also published in the December CARDS magazine and the premiere issue of the Cricut Magazine. I know you've seen this tag before--it's using Unity's camper {Remember Happiness} and grid {Moments in Bloom} with a Unity tree {Naturally You}. I made this card using the PDCC color inspiration! When I found these magazines in our small local bookstore, I actually squealed!  Two of the customers just looked at me! I was sooooooo excited!!

And because I could...I made Trav come with me to the local Michael's and get some pics of me with my first Paper Crafts mag! OH MY! LOVE LOVE LOVE it:)

First pic--blurry so Trav had to go again! Next pic--action shot!
Ok--and now for a new creation that I made. I made this card for my grandma [it was her bday last week--and NOTE:: I have yet to send it to her, I was going to submit it to a call, but it didn't fit any! So it IS coming in the mail, Grandma!!]. I made this all by stamping and embossing. I used Unity's postcard stamp, a flower {To The Moon & Back}, butterflies {Happy Everything}, and script {My Dear} stamps. After stamping and embossing, I inked the card with distress inks, added a few sprits of perfect pearls, and finished it with gems and seam binding. LOOOVE it! Perfect for my grandma;) It's also perfect for the ABC DT challenge {birthday cards}. LOVE this card!
 Not sure if you can see the perfect pearls...how about in this pic? Trust me--it is super gorgeous in person!
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by the Unity website for great deals on more amazing stamps and the Unity blog for the complete list of FWF friends:} Thanks for stopping by and for leaving some love--you make me smile! Blessings:}
