PDCC #74

Hello, friends:} 

Let me start by saying "WOOOOOOOW!" I was blown away by all the creations shared last week for our color story! I just loved those colors together--and I loved visiting each and every one of our players' blogs and checking out their creations! I was DEF. inspired! LOVE it!!!

There is another fabulous color story shared over on The Play Date Cafe blog today! This week, our very talented Ruby 2 Shoes has picked our colors--blue, purple, and white. LOVE that inspiration photo!

The PDCC DT was lucky enough to have some sets sent to us to play with--THANKS, Lizzie Anne Designs!! I received Blossom Doodles. I wanted to focus on one of the flower stamps in this set, so I made a side rectangle with our color story, as well as gray and kraft. I also used my LAD Sept. 2009 KOTM set for the sentiment. LOVE that twine [The Twinery] holding on the sentiment! I think this turned out super cute!

Hello, friends:}

I just love love love when my friends come over and play in my studio! About a month ago my friend's daughter stopped by to make a wedding card for her aunt. Maria has been crafting lots, so this card came together quickly!! Her aunt's wedding colors were bright yellow and navy blue (some Michigan sport's team colors???). So we looked through some old CARDS magazines, and found some cake shaped cards that she wanted to create {by Heather Pulvirenti Cards July 2010}. We ended up using the scroll from Ippity's Regal Greetings stamp set, along with some beautiful navy glitter and rolled flowers. And Maria even hand embroidered that S!! LOVE it! She did a fabulous job! 

 

Maria did this all on her own! 

And here is a fun pic of my friend Daria! She is the SWEETEST! Love when she visits--she is so crafty and smart and FUNNY! She does not like her pic being taken--LOL! She is doing my dishes here--THANKS, Daria! She made this beautiful quilt. LOVE the colors!!!

She also gave me this beautiful rose--which was almost dead by the time she made it to my house! That is a funny story! We have lots of funny stories--like when she was reading <3 (for the heart symbol), she says, "Less than 3"! ACK--I about died! LOVED that laugh!

All Things Unity #27 {BLING it on!}

Hello, friends:}

Today starts a NEW challenge over at All Things Unity!! This is another FUN 2 week challenge--all you have to do is use BLING! Lots, little, glitter, gems, pearls, and MORE! Easy!!!

I created this fun Easter card for this challenge. I used my Ippity Sweet Thoughts of Spring {bunny} and Unity Sentiments 'O Simple {sentiment} on this card. LOVE the soft feel! The extra bling of pearls and gems adds just the right amount of PERFECT:}

EIC #131 {Dollbirdies}

Hello, friends:}

What a great day! We are headed over to another amazing Etsy store this week for our EtsyInspired challenge! We are stopping by the Dollbirdies shop! I just love all these sewn items! I have missed my sewing machine, so I thought I would whip up something fun!

I was inspired by this owl fabric (I know--I can't get enough owls!). I thought that I would make some owl hats for kids. I love the rustic look of these hats! I made them with scrap fabrics--nothing too fancy. This one is for a boy. I made one for a girl (using some of my fav fav FAV fabric!) but the pic didn't turn out. I will share it later. 

I even had a small friend help model my hat. He is a bit young for this hat--it measures about 20"--his head is 18". 

And because our little friend was so sweet--I played with him for a LONG time outside. Trav took this pic of us! LOVE this little guy!

FWF {March 18}

Happy FRIDAY! Today is a fun day over at the Unity blog--be sure to stop by there for all players in the hop today! LOVE FWF! And be sure to stop by the Unity store for some amazing deals! You can also sign up to receive the KOTM!! I love getting mine in the mail--it's always a happy day!

I wanted to share my absolute favorite card to date today!! I made it for the All Things Unity and ABC DT  challenges {birthday}. I also made it for the CARDS challenge {use 10 buttons}. I LOOOOOOOVE this card--love the papers [Cosmo Cricket]. I love that little dog too [Unity Suzi Blu- Gigi Party]! So adorable with those button eyes! I also used my ticket stamp [Unity Simply Magical] and the sentiment [Unity To The Moon & Back]. If you can't see the 10 buttons::: 2 near the sentiment, 2 eyes, 2 on the hat, 4 on the bottom near the scallops. LOVE IT!

This next card was created for the FWF68 challenge. I was inspired by the color theme and a flying animal (inspiration card had a bird; I have a butterfly). I used my Unity Soiree & Such [baby outfit--kind of hard to see at the top--silly lighting!], Life Becoming [butterfly], and Happy Everything [sentiment] sets. The papers are from SEI--the bottom is velvet! SO fun to touch:) So fun and sweet for a little boy.
