Gnomes into Smurfs

Hello, friends;}

It's my day over at the Sweet Stamp Shop!!! HOOOORAY! Be sure to stop by HERE and leave some love!

I decided to create with my SSS Gnomies set....but I did a spin on the images. I don't have any kids, so I can't say the movie is the greatest---but I've been seeing a LOT of commercials for the Smurf movie. Plus, I just loved the Smurf cartoon show growing up...and I was thinking that the gnomes looked like smurfs! It is a bit of a stretch, but it worked! I found the photo to the right as my inspiration. I created the card below with the sentiment "SMURFTASTIC"! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I think those gnomes smurfs are PERFECT! I used some My Mind's Eye paper along with some cardstock. Easy! And fun! Perfect for any little one:)
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the SSS blog!!! And don't forget to get some Sweet Stamp Shop images HERE! And if you have some extra time, please stop by our YouTube channel (I added a crafty tip video last week), our FB page, follow us on Twitter  and link up any creations you have made using SSS images on Flickr

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

RCC 18- All Tied Up

Hello, friends:}

If you have not been to The Ribbon Carousel Challenge--head over there NOW!! We are starting a brand new challenge today!

Jessica Knutsen ,owner of There She Goes Clear Stamps and Crew mate extraordinaire, wants you to break out your spooled items and use 2 or more on this week’s creation for Ribbon Carousel Challenge 18 (RCC18).

My name is Jessica Knutsen and I am the owner and designer for There She Goes. I have been with my amazing husband Matt for over seven years and we have three wonderfully crazy little girls. I have been crafting most of my life and stamping for about four years. My love of designing stamps came to me while I was looking for different tree stamp sets. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to design my own. The first set that I ever designed was Branching Out. I had so much fun that I designed a few more. I was so happy with the end results, that I wanted to be able to share my stamps with others. And so begins the start of There She Goes. I hope that you will come along on this new and exciting journey with me. But be careful, things just might get a little inky...

There She Goes Clear Stamps will provide one randomly selected challenge participant with a $25 gift certificate!! Now that's a reason to participate in the challenge! I wish I could win!

Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings, anything will work!
*** Please remember that your creation must have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***

I'm so excited to share my card with you! I used the Moxie Fab square sketch challenge as my inspiration. I just loooooooove this Float My Boat image from There She Goes Clear Stamps!!! I loooooove how this card turned out--and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that paper by My Mind's Eye!
Where are the two ribbons/spool items? I used the Mango seam binding from The Ribbon Carousel and some teal floss for the sea! I LOOOOOVE how it looks! So cute:)

The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:
  • Make your creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
  • Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC18) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
  • Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
  • Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
This Challenge will end on Sept. 5th, 2011 at 11:59pm EST.

I really hope you will play along! Please stop by the RCC blog for more details, more projects from the RCC DT, and to link up your creation! Also, please head over to The Ribbon Carousel website and check out their products--I just bought more twine!! Sooo excited for it to arrive!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Hambo Stamps Guest Designer

Hello, friends:}

OH MY! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be the Guest Designer over at Hambo Stamps!!! I looooooove Hambo Stamps images and sentiments! They are whimsical and SUPER fun! Just look at that pig--ACK!!! Soooo fun and so adorable:)

I was super lucky to get this possum and sentiment to create with for this post. I knew instantly that I wanted to make three different cards. For my first card, I used a sketch/card design by Teri Anderson--OH! What a fabulous designer! I used my Hambo possum image to hang in a highlighted circle with a printed sentiment below. SOOOOOO fun and super easy! LOVE it! Actually--I love that the possum is teal/gray! So cute:}
For my second card, I used a sketch/card design similar to one by someone {I honestly don't know who inspired me!}. I love the papers {Pink Paisley}! I also love how the possum was paper pieced--soooo cute and perfect for this card! This card is actually going in the mail this week--it's for Trav's Papa's birthday!! SHHH! Don't tell:)
Unfortunately, I had a huge migraine for the past two days and didn't get to finish my last card--it was girlie and super fun! I wanted to show that this possum could be PINK! Well...maybe not pink, but I did want to use him her on a girl themed card! I used my sentiment that Hambo Stamps sent me too! I will post it ASAP! I will also be posting more creations using Hambo Stamps because I just ordered a digital stamp, and I absolutely LOOOOOOOOVE this sheep image for a birthday themed creation! LOVE LOVE LOVE:)

Be sure to stop by the Hambo Stamps website HERE and their blog HERE. Super great stamps and great inspiration shared!

Thank youHambo Stamps (and my friend, Libby), for letting me join in the fun and Guest Designing for you! I've enjoyed playing with your images--and I look forward to sharing more!!!!

Christmas....already?

Hello, friends:}

**Click here for my FWF post!

I have not had time to play with the Moxie Fab challenges lately--BOOO! So when I saw Cath challenge us to use felt in an innovative way on our creations [Fabulous Felt Challenge in the Moxie Fab World], I jumped at the chance. I used black felt to make a silhouette of a reindeer. I added some Christmas papers and sentiment with some white seam binding! FUN and easy! LOVE it:}
**So sorry this pic is a bit dark--the sun was going down. And that maroon paper is super hard to photograph! I will add a better pic ASAP:)

That's it for me today! Be blessed:}

I know--I'm a bit late in posting this card! School started earlier this month! LOL! I just haven't had the chance to post all my creations! I created this card for the CARDS and Unity monthly challenge {school theme}. My nephew, Jackson, started Kindergarten!! OH MY! They grow up so fast! I used some images from Unity's Smarty Pants, along with  the apple from Unity's Apple Cheddar Soup.  The papers are from Cosmo Cricket. Pretty simple and SUPER fun for Jackson:)
This next card was created using the Unity KOTM sketch challenge. I have not had any time to play lately--and it was fun! I flipped the challenge sketch (shown to the right). And I know what you are thinking--"Are those stamps from a kit?" Yes!! I bought this August 2008 Unity kit because of that trailer! I love love love it--and it even helped me get published in the premiere issue of the Cricut magazine.
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Unity blog for a complete list of FWF friends!
