Mama Elephant- Rustic Spring Highlight {post2}

Hello, friends:}

**Please scroll up/down for my RCC77 challenge post.

Today the Mama Elephant design team is taking a closer look at the Rustic Spring stamp set. Be sure to stop by the ME blog for more details and inspiration!!!

When I saw the nest, eggs, and little birdie in this new ME stamp set, I knew I wanted to make a baby card {these are the perfect images!!}. The sentiment is from the ME Nursery Deco set. I used papers from the October Afternoon Cakewalk collection along with some beautiful ribbon that I got from the RC. Such a simple card-- but super cute and perfect for a new little one:) LOOOOOOVE!
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by all of the ME DTs' blogs and the ME blog for more inspiration and details. **New ME Stamps are available NOW!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Retro or Vintage?

Hello, friends:}

I wanted to share my original Paper Smooches SPARKS September Trend Watch challenge card today.

We are inspired by this Retro Fab photo...and I think my first card is actually more vintage and retro--LOL! I know that a lot of my friends' kids are going back to school and even college. So I was thinking about how I always enjoyed getting packages from Mom (or Dad) with goodies that she made (that's if the cookies made it through the postal system!).

I used my Yummers and FOLKal Points Paper Smooches stamp sets. I love these October Afternoon Sidewalks papers. Retro?? Maybe more vintage--either way...I LOVE it:)
Sorry for the dark pic--not sure why???
That's it for me today....be sure to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog and play along with the challenge this week!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Echo Park Paradise Beach stickers and brads

For my card today, I pulled out some October Afternoon 9 to 5 papers. I LOOOOOOOOOVE these papers! I wanted to make a card that works for Mom--kind of whimsical and modern. I cut up some of the images on my 12x2 Girl Friday papers and paired it with the 8x8 pad. I love how this card turned out!!! This is a great card to say THANK YOU to your Mom:)

RCC62 challenge

Hello, friends:}

In case you missed my ribbon necklace tutorial yesterday on the Ribbon Carousel blog, click HERE

There's a new weekly challenge that starts today over on the Ribbon Carousel blog!!! This week Danielle Lounds challenges us with a color story
My card design was inspired by the current iSpy challenge. I did change the sketch a bit--LOL! I pulled out several items from the Ribbon Carousel shop for my card, including October Afternoon's Sidewalks paper and Cherry divine twine. I also used some of my new Bazzill cardstock {available HERE from the RC} for the hearts. I used several stamps from Paper Smooches {Chit Chat, FOLKal Points, Hang Ups, and He Said, She Said}. LOVE it! It's simple and fun! I'm also entering this in the Stamp It! Cards Love Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World because everything has been stamped [well, not the text! That's paper:)].
I used glossy accents and a glaze pen to help the hearts and sentiment pop.

The RCC team would love for you to join in the fun this week! Here are the details:
  • Make your NEW creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
  • Your creation can be ANYTHING from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! ***Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool) on your creation! And be sure to follow the RCC challenge theme!
  • Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC62) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
  • Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
  • Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D
This challenge will end on July 23rd at 11:59pm EST.

Please head over toRibbon Carousel shop and check out their products!!! I just made a HUGE order because I loooooooove my ribbons and papers:)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS July Designer Drafts challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The second week of the month is always a DESIGNER DRAFT challenge.

This week we are inspired by this sketch:
I actually kept the sketch the same without changing anything--well, I didn't make the curve much, but I think it still matches the sketch 95%!! I used some of my October Afternoon 9 to 5 papers along with my Paper Smooches Squeaky Clean, Pip Squeaks, and Helping Hands stamps for this card. I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOVE it! **NOTE:: I will admit that I had the HARDEST time with this sketch. I sat here at my desk for hours designing cards and creations...then I went to the couch...and then I thought about it more...and then two more hours before I figured out what I wanted to do! LOL! Travis actually gave me an idea/design that I think I might complete this week! I'll share it once it's done! THANKS, TRO'G!!!! <3
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends July 15th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps!!!
