RCC40- Sketch Time with the Craft's Meow

This week, the Ribbon Carousel Challenge is another wonderful sketch by the fabulous Danielle Lounds.

I was lucky enough to get some of these stamps to play with this week--THANKS, The Crafts Meow. And again--I kind of changed the sketch. First, the oval is my focal stamped image. I also made the banner part of this oval--I thought the branch that the owls sit on looked like a banner (is it just me?? or do you see it too??). I added some pieces of scraps to the top left and stitched some Xs and lines for my gems. I love making sketches my own:) The papers are from Crate Paper. Where is my ribbon? Well, I used some of RCC's brown burlap twine {available HERE} for the branch. I wanted to give it texture. LOVE it! This card also fits the Simon Says Stamp challenge-Love is in the Air.

• Make your NEW creation following the ribbon carousel challenge (sketch, inspiration, style or color) image. Be sure to include some type of ribbon, twine, hemp, lace....basically, anything that comes on a spool.
• Your creation can be ANYTHING from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! ***Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool) on your creation! And be sure to follow the RCC challenge theme!
• Load your creation up onto your blog or a public viewing forum like SplitcoastStampers, (use the keyword RCC40) with a direct link back to The RCC blog post. Including the challenge graphic isn't a requirement, but sure is appreciated! A participant of our very first challenge didn't link back or mention our challenge and couldn't be named Top Spool, so don't let that happen to you!
• Come back to The RCC blog post and link in your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up but don't worry it will appear shortly.
• Be sure to come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool! :D

PDCC #89

Hello, friends:}

Hoooooray for another fun day over at the Play Date Cafe! We are starting another color story today--and it's so shabby and soft and relaxing! Mint, buttercream, and taupe!!!

Our sponsor is The Craft's Meow- OH MY! Love these stamps! I received Just Sayin' to use on my creation. I love the bubble stamp! I used one of the sentiments instead....because Trav told me to use it! LOL! He said that this sentiment went well with these colors--it's relaxing:) My stitching isn't the greatest--but I love how this turned out. Simple and sweet.

**NOTE:: Trav said, "That house has a hole in it." LOL! So silly:)

Also note::: that house is a taupe gray--I went to Michael's and held up the pic in iPhoto and matched it. I guess it's hard to tell in this pic--but it does:)
