2022: Another set of Sympathy cards #22-27 + #28-33

Hello again, sweet friends!

As you might have seen by my previous posts... 2022 has started off rough! **Yes--- I literally copied + pasted that line from another post because this month has been full of sadness and loss!

I made a kraft and black sympathy card HERE and used that as my design for another card for my friend. I used the same design but switched the sentiment at the bottom. It's a pretty simple card but will be full of love and prayers as my friend and her mom/family grieve the loss of her brother.
I also CASED myself! I made a similar sympathy, thinking of you, sending prayers card like this one below for Paper Smooches when they released their line of paper in 2019! I recreated it because I thought it might be the card I use to send to my friend. While it's simple and beautiful, I decided that I wanted to make something different. **NOTE: And yet.... the "different" card is actually the same as the kraft/black one! LOL!
That's it for me today. I hope to get in the studio more this week--- and hopefully I can make something other than sympathy themed cards! THANKS so much for stopping by!

Be blessed ❤️

Welcome🍍

It's sooooooooooooooooooo good to be back in the studio!
I found some time this weekend to play with some watercolors. I have a special watercolored card that I will share on Friday this week- it's for one of my very very special friend's birthday! I don't want her to see it before she gets it in the mail. Stay tuned for the reveal:)
Not sure why this photo is blurry! :(

This card was super easy to whip up! I saw a pineapple embossing folder at JoAnns yesterday (only $2.50 plus 20% off!) and knew it would be perfect to create a card to welcome our new neighbors, as well as celebrate our friends and family who just moved/bought a new place.
Instructions: emboss watercolor paper, add watercolors to pineapple images, add striped washi tape to side of card (channeling my inner Samantha Mann), attach embossed/colored paper to base, die cut sentiment and stamp coordinating sentiment, attach both sentiments to card base. DONE! Simple and fun!

That's it for me today. Don't forget to stop by on Friday- I have another card to share. It took me around 3 hours to complete but it was totally worth it! LOL!

THANKS so much for stopping by!
Be blessed ❤️

Paper Smooches SPARKS October Anything Goes (wk1) challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! Another Anything Goes challenge starts today!
That's right--you get to create ANYTHING you want (as long as you use Paper Smooches stamps)!! This is the BEST challenge ever!!!

Today I created a one layer card for my friend's anniversary next week! Happy Anniversary, Tony & Gretchen:)

I stepped out of my comfort zone (layers) to create this simple one layer card--- and I think it turned out super cute! I love the washi tape! It has such fun colors, which is what I tried to match with my Imagine Crafts/Tsukeniko inks. I used lots of stamp sets for this simple card... isn't that how that goes?! Simple uses more!?!? Well that is what happens for me:) I used the Paper Smooches Promenade stamps and dies, Sassy Script, Good Gab, and Helping Hands sets.

So... I wasn't really happy with this card. I love it....but I thought it needed more *NOTE: this is because one layer cards are out of my comfort zone! LOL! So I took some ICT irRESISTible spray and created some splatters. Now I wish I wouldn't have done that! LOL!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love
And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends October 10th. I cannot wait to see what you make!!!

RC: One Layer Masculine card

Hello, friends:}

Today I'm sharing a super simple.... ONE LAYER... MASCULINE card! WOW! I've really stepped out of my comfort zone... or would you say that THIS is my NEW comfort zone! LOL!

I used one of my FAVORITE Reverse Confetti stamp images-- the owl from the Quirky Cuties: Oliver Owl set. LOVE LOVE LOVE him! I wanted to make a simple masculine birthday card (to continue working on my challenges!!!)!!! Ding! Points for finishing another masculine birthday card:) DING DING! I also used old My Mind's Eye papers for this card! LOOOOOOVE when I can combine both of my challenges:)
My favorite part of this is the watercoloring design. It's so random! I used my Tsukineko Memento Cantaloupe and Tangelo dye inks for the beak and feet, Desert Sand dye ink for the body and VersaMagic Oaisis Green pigment ink for the tie! OH MY! Isn't he so cute!?!?!

That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for more inspiration and details!

Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

PS SPARKS- another try

Hello, friends:}

Today I wanted to share my second try at my Paper Smooches SPARKS July Picture Perfect challenge!! This week we are inspired by the following picture:
I created the exact same card--- with different colors! I just didn't like the photos from before (the white cardbase didn't look good making the pinks a bit off!)! So I made a whole new card using the PS Crystal Clear stamp set and Hello Words die. I think CAS is growing on me:) This is a one layer card. LOVE! I actually LOVE both cards--- and think this photo turned out a bit better! LOL!
Maybe this photo isn't any better! OY! I really need to learn how to work with storms, sunshine, lights, etc! LOL!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs, get inspired, and leave them some love

Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Picture Perfect challenge (post1)

Hello, friends:}

***After 6am EST- please click HERE for my Reverse Confetti blog hop post and giveaway
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

Soooooo.... I went EXTREMELY CAS! That's because I was running out of time and wasn't sure what to make! LOL! I was actually inspired by THIS photo as well!
I used the Paper Smooches Rainbow die to create a fun rainbow. I also used cardstock that I bought from PS when Kim sold paper! LOVE these cardstock colors- almost so much that I didn't want to cut into it! LOL! I stamped the sentiment from Cosmos and the birdie from Hang Ups. Trav says he likes the bird black/white.... I told him I almost paper pieced him and he frowned upon that and again told me that he liked it blank! LOL!
You can see that I was inspired by the colors and white space on the inspiration photo... kind of:)

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

Paper Smooches SPARKS Sept. Trend Watch challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!!

The first week of the month is always a TREND WATCH challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following photo:
My original design included a gold jar with some white and pink flowers... but then I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and create.... steady yourself.... I thought I would create a CAS ONE LAYER card. (GASP!!!!!) I know! I'm shocked myself. I actually completed this in less than an hour-- I hope that doesn't make you fall over or fall out of your chair!  I really wasn't trying to shock you today:)

Like I said, this is a one layer card... I used the flower images from the Paper Smooches Crystal Clear and Reflections stamp sets. The sentiment is from the PS Many Thanks set (I love love love this set!)!!! I love how this turned out-- esp. the bottom patterned paper! That piece was a debate between Trav and myself. He thought I should use just cardstock... normally I listen to him... but this time, I crinkled my nose and said, "I like lots of design. So I'm using patterned paper!" LOL! I hope he still likes it;) We also had a debate about how many gems to use.... I wanted to use just one more (odd numbers- pleasing to the eye).... but I didn't. So he won:)
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love
And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends September 8th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps-- did you see the new stamp sets??? I literally just got my package of new sets and dies the other day-- LOVE x100000!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
