PDCC #76

Hello, friends:}

I cannot THANK the The Play Date Cafe players enough--I just loved visiting all your blogs last week! I was so impressed with the way you used our color story!! Beautifully done, everyone!! You all win in my book!!

This week our lovely Sarah has challenged us with some blues and greens. The PDCC also has a fabulous sponsor: The CropStop. What a great online shop--they even have a blog! Check it out HERE
For my creation, I made an Earth Day tag! These colors reminded me of the earth stamp that I have by Unity. Pretty simple to make--techniques: dry embossing with ink, masking (that world and guitar--super hard!), adding bling. Simple! The guitar is from Unity's Oct. 2009 KOTM and the sentiment was printed out.
And I have to admit...I had a bit of a glitter issue when making this tag! I had to do this guitar world TWICE--plus, I had to clean up this mess! OY! Glitter EVERYWHERE! I know it won't come off my floor or desk for weeks! Possibly NEVER! LOL!
That's it for me--but you will want to jump on over to all these other amazing PDCC DT members' blogs! Our special Guest designer this week is Tracy EvansSo happy to have her on our team this week:}

Visiting with Jaclyn Miller

Hello, friends:}

OH MY! I cannot tell you how much fun it is for me to visit my crafty friends! Jaclyn Miller [from The Play Date Cafe DT] was here in FL this week...and I was lucky enough to visit with her!

I do have to admit that I got lost while driving to Orlando. I was doing fine--making good time--but then I couldn't find the street sign for "World Dr." Really? An hour later....I called her up and found her hotel! **NOTE:: Thanks to Trav for dealing with a very "nasty Sav" on the phone! It's hard to ask for directions when you don't know where N or S are....or where YOU are!!

So I arrived to Jaclyn's hotel...and WOW! It was gorgeous. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner outside and chit chatted about...CRAFTING {and a couple of other things!}. I had a super wonderful time. It was nice to chat with another Christian crafter...and I even got some hugs from her sweet sweet kids! They are so adorable--ADORABLE! All three are so different--LOVE them! And her husband is SUPER funny! Great family!!

We ended up taking pics right before I left {so sorry I stayed SOOOO late!!}...and we were a bit giddish! We took several pics just to get the right pose and eyes open! I just have to share a couple of these takes!
**NOTE:: This is my FAV pic of me--I only get one in about every twenty pics! **NOTE #2:: I'm not THAT tall...we are only 2 inches apart...but I had some SUPER amazing 6" heels on! LOVE my heels:)
 A bit more giggling!
And then we took more pics with their fanny pack! LOL! Oh my--this is the BEST fanny pack ever! It's huge--it holds cameras and snacks with two water bottles! And it doubles as a arm rest so you can rest your arms while waiting in the Disney lines! LOVE it:)

 Can't stop laughing!
Look closely and you will see the most beautiful friendship bracelet that Jaclyn made me. OH MY! What a surprise---it's blue, pink, and yellow! Beautiful! Thank youJaclyn!!

I had a great time! Wish The Miller family lived closer to me....like next door {Hmmm?? Toby!!!}. Maybe in the future:)

Thanks so much for letting me share my fabulous friends and our visits! Be sure to stop by Jaclyn Miller blog--super great stuff shared weekly over there! And we both will have some PDCC stuff to share tomorrow--so be sure to stop by! Have a great day! Blessings!

H{ippity} Hop April 4

Hello, friends:}

Happy H{ippity} Hop day!! I haven't played with my Ippity stamps in FOREVER! So it was super fun making this new home card the other day. I wanted to make a masculine card--and these DCWV papers were perfect! I also wanted the one house to stand out. LOVE that orange, yellow, and hint of red combo! I used my Ippity What Matters Most [houses] and my House A Home [sentiments] sets. LOVE it!
That's it for me today. Make sure you stop by all the Ippity blog for a complete list of participants. Please leave some love along the way--your comments are greatly appreciated:}

I'll be back soon with more crafty goodness! Thanks for stopping by! Be blessed:}

ATU #28 {Buttons}

Hello, friends:}

Today starts a NEW challenge over at All Things Unity!! This is another FUN 2 week challenge--all you have to do is use any type of button on your creation plus any Unity and Ippity stamps!

All Things Unity has a wonderful sponsor for the month of April:: Buttons Galore & More. If you have not been to this site--head over there NOW! I love all the button assortments! They even have an idea gallery HERE. WOW! Super fun!

 The ATU DT was provided with some amazing buttons to use for our projects this week. I was given the button and ribbon set "Summer Blooms".  I had a customer order for a journal--so I had the great idea of using those flower buttons as my embellishments. LOVE how this journal turned out. I love the bold colors--but the softness of the whole journal. I used my Unity script stamp [My Dear set], along with the flower and tag from Jan. 2011 KOTM [To the Moon & Back]. I also used my Ippity What Matters Most set for the sentiment. LOVE it!
That's it for me today--but you are going to LOOOOOOVE seeing what the ATU DT gals created. We have some amazing guest this month: Renee', Beate, and Chris. So hop on over to their blogs and leave them some love!

EIC #133 {Baggage Co.}

Hello, friends:}

WOW! I cannot thank you enough for playing along with us over at EIC! We had a great group of players last week! So many beautiful creations--THANK YOU!!
This week we are headed over to the fabulous XS Baggage Co. store. This store is filled with super cute sewn bags and totes, check covers, and more!
And our sponsor this week is Wax Fruit Company! The owner, Arielle, is SUPER talented and SWEET! LOVE LOVE LOVE scrolling through her posts on the website and on her blog

I was inspired by this super cute set of polka dot purses...those colors are so cute together! I was lucky enough to score a couple of WFC digital images to play with this week. I loved these Simply Sown stamps. I instantly thought of a baby card! It's perfect--for a "little sprout"! LOVE IT!
I was also inspired by this pretty flower fabric--I actually own this exact same fabric!! So I thought I would share with you a pic of me at my craft fair (selling some items with this fabric) yesterday. This is the only pic I have!! I was wearing my stash and holding Xerxes randomly! LOL--I had a great time!! **NOTE::I know you are thinking--that fabric and her craft fair has no connection! But I promise you that I've created several items with this fabric!! So I thought I would share my entire collection of goodies! That connects....right?!!!
And here is a pic of a happy customer- my dear-sweet friend, Concetta! She is the best:) She bought this sewn pouch (which I can make using the same fabric that inspired me!). She was so excited about her purchases!! LOVE when I make someone smile:}
That's it for me today! But wait--the EIC DT have created some AMAZING creations for you to check out! Head over to their blogs now:)

Hello, friends:}

Happy FRIDAY! Today is a fun day over at the Unity blog--be sure to stop by there for all players in the hop today! LOVE FWF! And be sure to stop by the Unity store for some amazing deals!

My first card that I wanted to share with you today was created for the FWF70 and CARDS {grid} challenge. I wanted to make a baby card for my sister-in-law!! They are having their first baby!!! She just found out, so a unisex card was in need! I love the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 papers--so vintage and fun. I used my Unity Sentiment O' Simple and Our Life set for the sentiments. Love that little crown! So fun! Congratulations, Candice and Allan:}

I would also like to share some more publications!! I was published three times in the Paper Crafts 350 Cards & Gifts magazine. I am on page 46- both cards and page 149 the bookmark. I am sharing my fav project that was accepted for this issue. I love love love this bookmark! I made it for my mother-in-law for Christmas (but now she is getting it for Mother's Day since I had to send it in!! LOL!). I love the idea of a bookmark on the outside of the book! I used grungeboard for the back, along with several layers of papers and stamps. I used my Unity vintage postcard and Life Becoming sets for this project. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the Unity blog for all other FWF friends:} So much eye candy today!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Love when we get to visit. Have a great weekend! Blessings:)
