PDCC #154 3rd Anniversary

Hello, friends:}
Today I am sharing a project with you as an Alumni Guest over at The Play Date Cafe Color Challenge.  They are celebrating their 3rd Anniversary with a BIG celebration!  The PDCC has always been a unique challenge for two reasons

  1. They encourage you as a player to 'interpret the colors' as YOU see them
  2. They welcome pretty much ANY type of project from cards to layouts, knit, crochet & sewing, mixed-media and even cupcakes! **For my project this week--I almost did MAKEUP! LOL!
From Oct 18-22, you can enjoy inspiration from other returning design team members as well as their current team, prizes from a variety of sponsors and additional giveaways for becoming a follower of the challenge and for displaying their brand new badges!

I hope you will join me in congratulating The Play Date Cafe by playing along and sharing your support by saying hello when you pay a visit.  It's going to be an exciting celebration!
OK--so the colors this week are flame, grape, and mulberry. I used several different purple ink pads, along with a red/orange ink for my colors. These inks {available HERE from the RC} were the perfect match!! I also used 10 Paper Smooches stamps {All Yule Need, Yummers, Surf & Turf, Daisies & Paisleys, Good Gab, Chit Chat, FOLKal Points, Word Salad, Simply Said, and Friendly Flowers}!!! I added some light purple gems and some grape wine vintage seam binding {available HERE from the RC} as accents. The polka dots were stamped individually and I thought the heart was a sweet accent! LOOOOOOOOVE how this turned out!
You can see the light purple gems on the flowers in this pic. So cute:)

That's it for me today! Be sure to stop by the PDCC blog for more details and to link up your creation!! Happy 3rd Anniversary to the The Play Date Cafe!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Fresh Squeezed Stamps part2

Hello, friends:}

I'm excited to share my second October GDT card for Fresh Squeezed Stamps.

This card is actually by my friend,
Helene! She was over at our house a week ago, and she loved the FSS Subway Series: Holidays stamp set. She wanted to make a Thanksgiving card for her mom. LOVE this turned out:) And I might be wrong...but this is only her SECOND card ever!! Talented:}
I also created a Thanksgiving card--it's my favorite holiday!! I have so much to be thankful for...so I made a Thank You card:) I used the same FSS Subway Series: Holidays stamp set. I also used the heart from the birdie in the FSS The Sweet Life set. LOOOOOOOOOVE that pop of aqua on this card! One of my favorite things to do is separate my twine {available HERE from the RC}--and that's what I've done with this Whisker Graphics twine. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Have you played along with this month's Ribbon Carousel challenge yet??? The RCC is now doing monthly challenges with a huge prize at the end for one lucky player!!! The prize::: a ribbon carousel!!!!!! This month's theme/challenge--- HALLOWEEN SPIRIT

For my card, I used some of my Carta Bella All Hallows Eve 12x12 papers and kit {available HERE from the RC}! I love the vintage yet dull colors for this kit. I love that skeleton too!! The ribbon {vintage seam binding- HERE from the RC} was folded over and tacked behind the first panel. I love the little touch it adds to this card. LOVE how this turned out--and I'm not a halloween fan!
You can see the gems better in this photo!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Cool Shades {post2}

Hello, friends:}

**Click HERE for my Mama Elephant post!

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The third week of the month is always a Cool Shades challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following colors:
My jaw dropped at this color story because 1) these are super pretty colors and 2) I knew I didn't have many patterned papers that matched these colors exactly....esp that light purple! So I went over to my paper stash and pulled several pads out to come up with this card. I used Basic Grey Plumeria and My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two: Rosy, Nostalgia, and A Mother's Love {all available HERE from the Ribbon Carousel}. I also used several Paper Smooches stamp sets (maybe one or two images from each set) including Hullabaloo, Graffiti, Spookalicious, Hang Ups, and Good Gab. The cantaloupe twine is from the RC and is actually seperated so I could use just the color. LOOOOOOOOOVE! It's the perfect Halloween card for a young friend and the current Ribbon Carousel challenge:}
I tried to make this owl look like a witch with the triangle hat...not sure that worked. LOL!
I just love adding glaze to my images/sentiment--you can see how shiny it becomes!!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details and the design team call {HERE}!!! This challenge ends October 21st. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps!!!
