2026: Catching up

Hello, friends!

Let's catch up--- I've been really ill with some random gut issues, which caused me to have urgent doctor visits and CT scans with both oral and IV contrast... that showed a mass on my uterus, a cyst on my liver, and colitis. I've been to the gynecologist for an ultrasound to check out the mass, the ENT for throat ulcers (which I also suffer from), the GI for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. I also had some other tests and several blood work... no news just yet. I hope to have answers soon.

So if you were wondering why I haven't been around... that's why:)

And because I haven't been around I have missed posting several cards I've designed for friends, family, and DT releases.

I'm catching up and posting a few of my cards in one post. You can always find MORE on my IG page.
These cards were created for friends and family, all using products that I've had laying around and never used. I had fun creating and can't wait to get back into the studio to play MORE! But first I need to get better <3

That's it for me today.

THANKS so much for stopping by! MORE to come ๐Ÿ’Œ

Be blessed ❤️

2026: Heart Scraps Can Make An AMAZING Card too!!!

Hello again, sweet friends!
Remember my card that had a house filled with hearts that I posted yesterday HERE

Well... this card was created using the heart die cut scraps! I just couldn't throw those scraps away and had to make a card with them!

I love this simple design and that the stacked hearts are colorful! I think this card turned out super cute- for scraps๐Ÿคช

That's it for me today.

THANKS so much for stopping by! MORE to come ๐Ÿ’Œ

2024: Disco Snowman with Spellbinders' Shine Bright collection [card #284]

Hello, sweet friends!

I have had a TON of fun using the NEW Spellbinders' Shine Bright collection, by Carissa Wiley. I've got so many ideas to share!!!!
This next card was another INSTANT idea that I had when I first glanced at the collection. 3 different sized disco balls... of course, I needed to stack them into a snowman! LOL ๐Ÿ˜‚

I loooooooooooove how this card turned out! I wasn't sure using white ink would work for the base of the disco balls but it was PERFECT!!!! If you know me, then you know I love mixing and matching my sets. I used a few dies from the Dancin' Snowman set for the snowman's winter gear. TOOOOOO cute:) And if you know me.... then you know that Trav helps me sometimes when creating! I showed him some of the sentiment sets I wanted to use, and he came up with "Shine- It's Tinsel Time"! He's so clever ๐Ÿคฉ
I have at so many MORE ideas that I want to try and create using NEW SpellbindersShine Bright collection, by Carissa Wiley. I can't wait to share them all!!!!

That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by the Spellbinders' blog and website for their AWESOME sales!!!

THANKS so much for stopping by!

2024: Shine Bright Rainbow with Spellbinders' Shine Bright collection [card #283]

Hello, sweet friends!

I'm back, and I'm thrilled to share a project that I created using the NEW Spellbinders' Shine Bright collection, by Carissa Wiley
I had INSTANT ideas of what I wanted to create using this new collection. After creating a spinner card (click HERE for the details and photos), I knew I wanted to do something with a rainbow. A rainbow of disco balls with a sentiment is the PERFECT encouragement card for a friend!!
I loooooooooooove how this card turned out! And it was fairly easy to make--- my only advice is to be careful when stenciling each disco ball as you will get smearing or over inking!!! Use masking tape or post*it notes to help with preventing this happening.

I have at so many MORE ideas that I want to try and create using NEW SpellbindersShine Bright collection, by Carissa Wiley. I can't wait to share them all!!!!

That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by the Spellbinders' blog and website for their AWESOME sales!!!

2022: Rainbow Hello [card #109]

Hello again, sweet friends!
I’ve got ANOTHER quick project to share with you today— add alcohol inks, ETC. Paper (EVO synthetic papers) and a vellum rainbow together and you get the most beautiful card to send to a friend! I love how this card turned out.
This was actually a left over piece of EVO synthetic paper that I wasn't sure how to use. I also found this vellum rainbow in my leftover stash. Sometimes it's possible to put together leftover and make a beautiful card:)

That's it for me today.

THANKS so much for stopping by!

Be blessed ❤️

first try rejects and the final project after try #2

Hello, friends!

I have soooooooooooo many projects to share... and I've come up with a quick way to share them all within a few posts. You might be seeing lots of different designs (and not a lot of details) per post to make it easier on me! LOL!

Today I'm sharing a project that I created in April for a sweet and dear friend, Kim! I love celebrating her birthday and this year she turned 50. That meant I needed to make a super special birthday card.
I had a few ideas that included watercoloring a piece of paper one solid color. I tried this with a teal and navy (you can see them in the watercolor bin). I thought that I could then add colors to the areas where the flowers would be... but that didn't work out at all! #totalfail I set those two papers aside and started again focusing on watercoloring after I die cut the paper with the design first. I posted about it HERE on Instagram.
HERE's stage two. It's looking much better than my first attempt!
I finished this card and absolutely loved the design! Best fail ever! I think Kim enjoyed it too. My mom loved it so much that she requested I make another one just like it. *It was hard to replicate but I did it for my mom! LOL!
Supplies: The Stamp Market watercolor palette, Just Add Flowers stamp set, Floral Cuts cover die

So what did I do with the first try rejects? Well... I used them for another project two weeks later! It took me that long to figure out what I wanted to do with them. The papers were watercolored teal and navy with different hues and markings. I wanted that to stand out and so I used them on a CAS white card base with a few die cuts and sentiments. EASY! And to be honest, I love how they turned out! Rejects aren't really rejects unless you throw it away. #lifelesson

This "Thank You" card was created for a sweet couple that became family to me during Covid. They took private aqua fitness classes from me to stay active before they moved back home to WI. I knew the husband loved flowers (his wife's name is Rose! LOL!), so I made a simple white embossed flower bouquet the focal point of this card design.
Supplies: The Stamp Market watercolor palette, Framed Floral, Gorgeous Greetings, Emboss ink

The navy rejected paper was big enough to make two cards! I love the bold navy with the white background.
Supplies: The Stamp Market watercolor palette, Botanical Print, Botanical Beauty die, Palm Leaf die, Navy/Slate paper and ink

I never throw anything away, and it's a good thing! These cards are some of my favorite! And I learned that rejections are not always bad; good can still come from it.

That's it for me today. I will be sharing more soon! THANKS so much for stopping by!

Be blessed ❤️

It's a happy day (when I get to play with alcohol inks๐Ÿ™ƒ

Oh happy day, friends!
THANKS for stopping by today!

I created this card awhile back but haven't shared it yet. I'm hoping I get to have some crafty time in the studio soon! #SAVfact: I've been working on my AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional license and I've only got one and half chapters left!!! But with that means and large test, getting certified in CPR, figuring out insurance as a personal trainer and working in our community, etc. It's been taking all my time. PLUS-- my left foot is still not feeling great. HOWEVER-- my right shoulder is MUCH better! Praise the Lord!!! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Anyway... enough about me (I don't want to waste your time!)! Here's today's card. Simple combo of some of my favorite items: alcohol inks, Etc. Papers Synthetic EVO PapersThe Stamp Market Oh Happy Day stamp and die set  and gold paper/embossing powder/ink. DONE!
THANKS so much for stopping by! I hope you have a happy day! THANKS for always lifting me up and encouraging me- your friendship and love mean so much to me❤️

ONE More (and a mini)

Hellllllllllo, again!

I'm really enjoying blogging again. I hope you are enjoying my creations!

I'm back today with my last two (for now) alcohol ink cards. I said it before but I will say it again- I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE these inks! I can't believe it took me this long to try them out ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผ‍♀️๐Ÿ™ƒ
These cards were made using just the blue alcohol inks and the new Etc. Papers Synthetic EVO Papers. I didn't do anything fancy other than drop the ink and watch it blend, move around. I did add some gold shimmer and then let the inks dry overnight. I had a beautiful larger piece but had to cut it down to create my first design. It's simple and perfect for just about anyone ❤️
I thought I was done with all my samples but I saw this little blue scrap and knew I had to create a mini card:) I really liked the right side of this alcohol ink background- the way it dried and left the white is so pretty. I die cut a heart with a sentiment inside and added a vellum strip with another sentiment. The card size was a bit wonky- too skinny and long however I didn't want to cut the pretty design off; so I added one more sentiment under the heart die cut. I know it doesn't really balance this card design... but I think it looks good enough to say "DONE"! **I even know who I will be giving this mini card to today:) #TROG
THANKS so much for stopping by! I hope to get into the studio this weekend while Trav works. I've got about a thousand card designs I want to make... just need to find the time!

Be blessed ❤️

Paper Smooches challenge- January #2 and #3

Hello, friends:}

I'm back after a LONG break--- well, I'm kind of back! I am not in my studio as much because I'm dealing with a back injury/going to the doctor/etc. I'm not sure what happened, but I can tell you that I didn't go to the doctor immediately! That was a big mistake! Two weeks ago I couldn't even open the car door without lots of pain:( I guess I've learned my lesson.

So I want to catch up today!

I have two cards to share for the NEW Paper Smooches monthly challenge. The challenge for January is...... 4 COLORS!  *See notes below about color combos!!!  Picture: Credit

************The challenge is to create a PS project using 4 colors- use one of the 4 color combos from the photo or make up your own! ***NOTE: white, black, grey, cream, and kraft are neutral colors. So technically you could have a 5+ color combo:)
This first card was featured last week and will possibly be featured in my VS video this week. ****NOTE: I've got a story for why I'm not sharing as many videos! I'll tell you about it hopefully in my next video this Thursday:)

This next card was created using my new Neocolor II crayons! I don't normally color images, but this was kind of fun (minus when I went outside the lines! ACK! A small freakout definitely happened!)! I used only the Paper Smooches  Comforting Hugs stamp set for this card. EASY! I used the following 4 colors and neutral colors- lime green, jade green, purple violet, and golden yellow; neutral colors: white/black---- I love it!
I am trying a new photo design... thoughts?
That's it for me today! I hope you will join in the fun--- you could win a $50 gift certificate to the PS store!!! Be sure to stop by HERE to link up and to play along!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}

Paper Smooches SPARKS: June Picture Perfect challenge

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! This week is a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

I think that there are lots of different things you could be inspired by from this photo. I went with the house theme (even though this is a child's bed... it looks like a house).

I created a super pretty friendship card using the Paper Smooches Bitty Bungalows stamps and matching dies. I used some new-to-me My Mind's Eye papers and pulled out my favorite Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko inks to finish this card. Simple but with lots of detail! LOVE it!

That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends June 20th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I actually can't wait to see what you are inspired by in this photo!!

THANKS so much for stopping by! Be blessed:}
