Mama Elephant Sketch Challenge

Hello, friends:}

Today is a special day over on the Mama Elephant blog!!! There's a NEW challenge that starts right now!!! Be sure to stop by HERE for more details and to play along!
I joined in the fun...and I think I'm stepping out of my comfort zone again by following the sketch 90%!!! I did change the second banner into the USA image.

I was inspired by the ME sketch, as well as THIS layout by Jennifer Gallacher from June 2012. ***I've been looking at this layout for months trying to figure out when/how I could use the idea of die cutting a sentiment and placing something over it! I used some Studio Calico Hey Day papers along with my ME Geotagged stamp set! Perfect!!! LOOOOOVE!
I hope you will join in the fun with the Mama Elephant DT and challenge. Be sure to stop by ME blog {HERE} for more details! This challenge ends on March 14th.

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Picture Perfect

Hello, friends:}
Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The fourth week of the month is always a Picture Perfect challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following picture:

Ok-- you might be wondering why I made a St. Patrick's Day card instead of a "love" themed card... well, I saw these two fingers kissing and that made me think of my husband {who likes to kiss me like this-- almost like we are in a Hollywood movie!}....and he is Irish. That's where my inspiration came from:) LOVE!!!

My card features some My Mind's Eye and Echo Park papers with several Paper Smooches stamp sets including A Little Lovin', FOLKal Points, A Magical Spring, and Swanky Snowdudes. I also used two new PS dies {Duo Die4 and Notebook Basic}. LOVE LOVE LOVE this card! SO FUN!
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love.

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details. This challenge ends March 3rd. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps!!!

I just LOOOOOOOVE my card for today! It's one of my favorite of 2013!!!

I stamped several images and sentiments using Paper Smooches FOLKal Points, Woofers & Tweeters, and Alphadot stamp sets. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that ribbon-- it's perfect for Valentine's day (or any love card!)! LOOOOOVE x1000!

**Please scroll up/down for my Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge post.

Today the Mama Elephant design team is taking a closer look at the Modern Borders stamp set. Be sure to stop by the ME blog for more details and inspiration!!!

I have to say that background stamps really stump me-- I never know what to do with them! However, I saw THIS embroidered piece on Pinterest and knew I had to recreate it using that ME crosshatch chevron stamp!  I added some flowers and gems (Imagainisce/iRock) along with some gold floss holding a tag that was stamped using the ME Rustic Spring {sentiment} and Type It {birdie} sets. LOVE how this turned out! The papers {My Mind's Eye} along with these ME images make this card vintage/shabby/chic....I think:) LOVE!
That's it for me today. Be sure to stop by all of the ME DTs' blogs and the ME blog for more inspiration and details. **New ME Stamps are available NOW!!!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Feb. Cool Shades {post1}

Hello, friends:}

**After 9amEST--please scroll up/down for my Mama Elephant highlight post!

Today we start another weekly challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!! The third week of the month is always a Cool Shades challenge.

This week we are inspired by the following color story "Carnival":
Chocolate, Cream, Aqua, and Cherry Red

I think that "cherry red" is more pink red, so I pulled out LOTS of Crate Paper collections to match this color story.

I made a simple design (based off of
THIS LO) that is distressed and a bit crooked. LOVE!! I used two of my NEW PS dies {Duo Die4 and Butterflies2}. I LOVE these new dies--they are so easy to use!!! I also used my favorite PS arrow stamp {Spookalicious}, as well as sentiments from Spiritual Sampler and Happy Camper. LOVE x1000000!
Ok-- so you might be asking why I used "white" paper?! Well, I promise you that the grid paper is more creamish in person than in this photo! And that brad is cream too! PROMISE:)
That's it for me today--but be sure to stop by the other Paper Smooches SPARKS DT members' blogs and leave them some love.

And don't forget to stop by the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog for more details!!!! This challenge ends February 24th. I cannot wait to see what you make--I just LOOOOOVE my Paper Smooches stamps.
